おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。


本日は“English Plusのレッスンの復習 ～ 自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2018年11月第4週の英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、２０１８年１１月第４週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文ができるように基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

Good morning and thanks a lot for your visit to English Plus blog!


Tomorrow is the New Year's eve, and I'd like to look back on this year as an English instructor at English Plus.
A lot of things have happened here at English Plus in 2018 too.
Some of the events we've done at English Plus this year are, such as...
・English Plus' new official website is available now.
・English Plus' Instagram is also available now and we upload weekly.
・English Plus' LINE is now available too.
・We uploaded some of our new movies, such as staff introduction ()
・We renewed "Travel Conversation lesson" completely.
・We started offering English lessons for corporations.
・We decorated the inside of English Plus with illumination lights.
・"TESOL" (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program is ready and going to start soon.
・New activity "Pronunciation Clinic" started.
・We started some of our new self-study sheets to help our students to do self-study more.
・Rainbow Bus announcement began this July.
From my point of view as an English instructor, most of our students' English skills have improved continuously this year too! (Great work!)
We were able to finish this year without any problems too, and we thank every one of English Plus' students, supporters, staff members, friends, and family .
This year has become another wonderful one.
We'll keep making efforts to provide better English lessons, support, and service at English Plus next year too.
Again, thank you very much!

Good morning and thank you very much for stopping by English Plus blog!


Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' last school activity in 2018.
Last Saturday, we held an annual English Plus' Christmas party, which was our last activity this year.
This Christmas party has become our regular annual event, and we were able to finish it without any problems this year too.
Since we have both adults and kids students at English Plus, we enjoyed the party together.
During the party, we enjoyed a wide variety of food, and drink.
Also, it was the winter Olympic year in 2018, we played English Plus' original game "Car-ring."
Before playing "Car-ring", we practiced some English phrases to cheer for the teammates.
During "Car-ring", everyone seemed to enjoy playing the game.
Through the party, almost all of the participants seemed to well communicate. (Great job!)
In the middle of the party, a special guest "Santa Claus" came to English Plus, which made the party more fun!
We really appreciate every one of the participants who joined the party, especially who helped us a lot. (Thanks a lot!)
We're thinking about holding some other activities next year too, so if you are English Plus' students, please join us next year too.
Let's learn and use English a lot, and improve a lot next year too!

本日は“English Plus ２０１８年１１月のEnglish Only Weekのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

来週の火曜日～土曜日（１１月２７日～１２月１日）の間、英語学校ではEnglish Only Weekとなり、日本語が一切禁止となります。

この１週間、英語学校では“完全英語のみ”になり、日本語を話した場合、ペナルティーがあります。

English Only Weekを来週に控えた今日は、来週のEnglish Only Weekに使える英語表現を学習したいと思います。

・もう少しゆっくり言っていただけますか？ ＝ Could you speak a little more slowly?

・もう一度繰り返していただけますか？ ＝ Could you repeat that?

レッスン受講生は完全に英語のみでがんばりましょう。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

おはようございます。English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“いざという時のためのビジネス英会話表現 ～ 来客の際に使える英語表現（最初のひとこと）”です。

日常のビジネスの中で、英語を使う機会（例：挨拶、連絡、報告、会議、E-mail等）は色々とあると思います。

ビジネス英語と言っても様々なシチュエーションが考えられますが、今日は「海外からの来客」時の英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

いきなり英語となると緊張をすると思いますが、しっかりと準備をしておけば、いざという時も少しは落ち着いて対処できると思います。

今日は、いざという時のために「自分の英語力で言うための１０秒口頭英作文トレーニング」をしていきたいと思います。

今日のお題は「来客の際に使える最初のひとこと」ですが、下記の日本語を英語にしてみましょう。

「弊社を見つけるのに苦労しませんでしたか？」

様々な英語表現が可能です。

答えは下記にありますが、まずは自分で英文作りにトライしてみましょう。

なお、答えの確認後は「口に出して読む（音読）」「ノートに書く」「書いたものを見直す」等のトレーニングを定期的にして英語力定着を図りましょう。

Today, I'd like to give English learners a tip about "English goals."
"What's your purpose or goal of studying English?"
There might be a lot of answers, such as...
"I'd like to score at least 730 on the TOEIC exam."
"I'd like to get promoted."
"I'd like to watch English movies without subtitle."
"I'd like to communicate with foreigners."
In fact, these answers depend on each individual person and I think setting goals is very important.
Without a goal, a person usually can't take the first step forward.
However, the problem with these goals is it's pretty difficult to achieve.
So, we need to set a goal which is achievable.
For instance, if your final goal is "to score 730 on the TOEIC exam", you can set your daily goal like this...
"I'll try to answer 10 TOEIC Part5 questions every day."
"I'll listen to listening part and do dictation training every day."
and so on.
One of the most important tips is to set an achievable goal that you can try every day!
Needless to say, after setting a goal, doing it is important!
Let's set a goal and do it every day.

Good morning and thank you so much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, let's learn an English expression from English Plus' winter vacation.
As I wrote about my business trip this winter in this blog, I went to Vancouver, Honolulu, and Toronto.
I was kind of busy since I visited these three cities in about ten days.
A lot of things happened during this trip, and today I'd like to write about another surprising story.
I flew with Air Canada in this entire trip.
I've used Air Canada before so I had no problem with the first flight from Tokyo to Vancouver.
The flight between Tokyo and Vancouver was pleasant since they used the latest Boeing 787.
The next destination after Vancouver was Honolulu.
I thought there would be no problem with this flight too; however, as I got on, I felt something wrong.
The first thing I realized was some other passengers brought food with them and started eating as soon as they sat down...
I wondered why...
I felt something is wrong so I checked the seat pocket in front of me and found "Air Canada rouge."
I checked a little more and saw "there is no complimentary meal during this flight", "if you need a blanket, you have to pay" and so on.
The moment I saw these was "OMG..." in my mind .
The flight was just dinner time and it's an international 6 hour flight...
but I checked a little more and found in-flight service information, so I was able to order dinner.
However, if I hadn't had a credit card with me, I wouldn't have been able to get anything...(oh, by the way, soft drink is free.)
I really thought "credit card" is a must item when you go abroad!
I didn't ask this question on the airplane, but the one I wanted to ask was "Do you accept JCB card?"
I wonder if they accept or not...
