We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' school activity in 2023.
Last Saturday, we held English Plus' Christmas party, which was our annual event until COVID pandemic happened in 2020.
This year's party was the first time in 4 years, and we were very happy to hold the event again.
Since we have both adults and kids students at English Plus, we enjoyed the party together this time.
During the party, we enjoyed a lot of food, drink, and some games.
Through the games, everyone seemed to enjoy playing the game, and almost all of the participants seemed to well communicate with one another.
In the middle of the party, a special guest "Santa Claus" came to English Plus, which made the party more fun.
This time, we tried some new games including taste test.
It was fun and we were able to finish it without any problems.
We really appreciate every one of the participants who joined the party, especially who helped us a lot. (Thanks a lot!)
We're thinking about holding some other activities next year too, so if you are English Plus' students, please join us.
Let's learn and use English a lot, and have fun next year too.

Today, I'd like to report English Plus' last school activity in 2022.
From November 29th to December 24th, we have been holding our last school activity "Christmas Month" this year.
We usually hold Christmas Party for our students at English Plus at this time of year; however, unfortunately this year because of prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we had to change our plan and are holding Christmas Month instead.
This Christmas Month is an activity that almost all of our students are joining for about a month.
Each week, there are different kinds of games and classmates need to cooperate with each other in order to get higher scores.
It seems that everyone of the participants enjoys playing the games after the lessons.
Since we believe it has become a successful event, we will hold some of fun activities at English Plus next year too.
Thank you all of our students for joining the activity.
Let's learn and use English a lot, and improve a lot next year too!

Today, let's practice English from English Plus' lessons.
At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English a lot especially during lessons.
Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through the lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons during the third week of April in 2022 below.

1. Was there many woman in your company at that time?
2. I’m interesting in organic item.
3. Where do you held the class?

Let's improve English skills little by little!

Today, I'd like to report English Plus' last school activity in 2021.
From the weeks of December 7th to December 18th, we held our last school activity "Christmas Scrabble" this year.
We usually hold Christmas Party for our students at English Plus, however, this year because of COVID-19, we had to change our plan and created Christmas Scrabble instead.
This Christmas Scrabble was a new activity and everyone seemed to have fun playing the game after the lessons.
All of them spent some time trying to make the best word they could create, and everyone of them did a good job!
Since it became another successful activity, we hope we will be able to hold some of fun activities at English Plus next year.
Thank you all of our students for joining the activity.
Let's learn and use English a lot, and improve a lot next year too!

Good morning and thank you very much for your time to stop by English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Tomorrow is the New Year's eve, and I'd like to look back on this year as an English instructor at English Plus.
A lot of things have happened here at English Plus in 2020.
Especially, the impact of COVID-19 pandemic was very big not only here at English Plus but also everywhere around the world.
Despite the impact of COVID-19, I'd like to write about some of the events we've had at English Plus this year. For instance:
・Since COVID-19 is a major problem, English Plus has set some rules and measures against the virus
・STEP-UP English lesson for Junior high school students began in March
・New staff members have joined English Plus
・We're now preparing for 1st Step English for adults with new staff members
・New Activity "Self-Study Club" started this year
・Instead of Christmas Party, we held 2-week "Christmas Week"
・Zoom online school information session is now available
・English Plus' SNS service, such as Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Blog, and YouTube, is now available almost every business day
・Business English course is now available
From my point of view as an English instructor, in spite of the state of emergency in April and May, most of our students' English skills have improved continuously this year too! (Great work!)
We really thank every one of English Plus' students, supporters, staff members, friends, and family.
Although the COVID-19 is still spreading around us, we were able to make this year too. (Again, I appreciate every one of you.)
We'll keep making efforts to provide better English lessons, support, and service at English Plus next year too.

From December 8th to December 19th, we held our last school activity "Christmas Week" this year.
We usually hold Christmas Party for our students at English Plus; however, this year because of COVID-19, we had to change our plan and created Christmas Week instead.
This Christmas Week was a really new activity and all of our students joined it for 2 weeks.
Everyone of them seemed to have fun playing some games after the lessons.
Also, everyone seemed to learn some English vocabulary related to Christmas, such as reindeer, Christmas wreath, and so on.
Since we believe it was quite successful, we hope we can hold some of fun activities at English Plus next year.
Thank you all of our students for joining the activity.

Today, I'd like to introduce English Plus' last school activity in 2020.
In December, there are several events, and one of which is "Christmas", and this month we're going to hold a "Christmas Week" instead of Christmas party at English Plus.
Every year, we hold our annual Christmas party, but this year, because of COVID-19, we're thinking about something new and all of our students can join.
Currently, we're planning and preparing for "Christmas Week" for our students.
This Christmas Week is supposed to be for 2 weeks from December 8th to December 19th.
In each class, all the classmates are team members and they are going to play fun English games.
We hope all of our students will have fun through this activity this year.

Good morning and I really appreciate your visit to English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.

Today, I'd like to write about English Plus' latest activity about infection prevention.
As of today, we can see and hear a lot of news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Actually, on March 11th 2020, The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and Japanese government declared the state of emergency about COVID-19 on April 8th 2020.
Though the state of emergency was lifted on May 25th, the number of infected patients has been increasing again since then.
In an effort to prevent and minimize the spread of any infectious disease including COVID-19, English Plus has made "infection prevention policy."
For instance,
1. The staff wash hands regularly
2. The staff try to stay healthy, but when their condition is not good, they stay at home
3. The staff wear face masks as a precautionary measure when necessary
4. The staff and students use hand sanitizer when necessary, especially before getting any beverages
5. Disinfectants are regularly used during cleaning, especially in locations frequented by large numbers of people, such as desks, chairs, and so on.
6. The staff ventilates the facility regularly
7. During the lessons, we try to keep distance
and so on.
In addition to prevent the spread of infectious disease, we have got "Tokyo's Kansen-Boshi Tettei Sengen Sticker" (A sticker by Tokyo Metropolitan Government to prove that the shop prevents the spread of infection.)
In order to prevent the spread any infectious disease to protect our students and staff, we'll do what we should do to make a safe environment to study English from now on too.

Today, I'd like to report English Plus' second school activity in 2020.
At English Plus, we hold a wide variety of activities once in a while, and last month, we began a new activity "Self-Study Club."
This "Self-Study Club" is intended for our students who want to learn how to do self-study more effectively.
In the club, the participants can learn how to review lessons, how to increase vocabulary, how to do self-training, and so on.
The second club meeting was last Saturday, March 7th. (We appreciate those who joined the activity last time!)
This time, they learned and practiced how to review vocabulary from the lesson more effectively, and how to improve speaking skills.
We'll continue this Self-Study Club to support our students to do self-study more effectively next month too.
To join English Plus activity, our students need to sign up at the counter.
All of our students are welcome to join any activity.
Let's enjoy learning English more!
