Today, let's learn some English expressions from recent news topics of novel Coronavirus.
Since last March, we've heard and seen a lot of news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites.
They say more and more people are still infected with the Coronavirus not only in Japan but all around the world.
In most countries, the situation of COVID-19 is getting worse.
This is surely bad news for people all over the world, and I hope the spread of Coronavirus infections will settle down soon.
Even under this circumstance, some of us might need to send or might have a chance to send messages to someone in English.
Today, let's learn some English expressions about the current COVID-19 situation in Tokyo, Japan.

・I hear that Tokyo is facing the collapse of the medical system.（東京の医療体制は崩壊に直面していると聞いています）
・I often hear how critical the situation of Tokyo's medical system is these days.（東京の医療体制の状況悪化に関する情報を最近よく耳にします）

本日のブログは“新型コロナウイルスに関しての英語表現「今日のGoogleの予測によると東京では１０日後コロナの感染者数が１日３０００人以上になると言われています」と言いたい時に使える英語表現（日本語編）”です。

２０２０年３月頃から、メディア（テレビやラジオ、インターネットのニュース等）で頻繁に取り上げられているように、今でもニュースの中心はコロナウイルスですが、冬の到来に伴い国・地域によっては状況が悪化している所も多くあります。

現在、世界中で問題になっているコロナウイルスですが、日本でも収束が依然として見えない状況です。

このような状況でも、海外の方（ビジネス上でお付き合いのある方、お客様、同僚、友人等）と英語でのメールやメッセージをやり取りをされる方もいらっしゃるかと思います。

そんな今日は「今日のGoogleのCOVID-19 感染予測によりますと１０日後、東京のコロナの患者数は一日で３０００人以上になると言われています」と伝えたい時の英語表現を学習していきたいと思います。

・Today's Google's COVID-19 forecast predicts that the number of infected people with the novel coronavirus in Tokyo is going to be over 3000 a day in 10 days.

・According to Google's COVID-19 forecast today, the number of patients is going to be over 3000 a day in Tokyo in 10 days.

２０２０年３月頃から、メディア（テレビやラジオ、インターネットのニュース等）で頻繁に取り上げられているように、今でもニュースの中心はコロナウイルスですが、冬の到来に伴い国・地域によっては状況が悪化している所も多くあります。

アメリカでは１２月に入り、今まで累計１５００万人の感染者数という報道も出ています。

・The number of infected people with the novel coronavirus in Tokyo is about 500 a day on average these days.（最近、東京ではコロナの患者数が一日平均約５００人くらいです）

・According to the news, the average COVID-19 patients is approximately 500 a day in Tokyo.（報道によると、東京のコロナの患者数は一日平均約５００人くらいです）

It depends on a country or city, but most government (country or city) are taking some preventive measures against this virus.
In Japan, the government is asking the people in Japan to take some actions to prevent Coronavirus.
So, today, let's learn some English expressions to answer "Are there any basic preventive measures against COVID-19 in your country?", for instance:

In my country, we are asked to...
・Wash hands frequently with soap for about 20 seconds & Use hand sanitizer
・Keep social distancing to maintain at least 1 meter distance between people
・Avoid 3Cs, such as Closed spaces, Crowded places, and Close-contact setting
Also, our government recommends we avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth, and so on

Today, let's learn some English expressions from recent news topics of new Coronavirus.
From this past March, we hear or see a lot of news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites every day.
They say more and more people are still infected with the Coronavirus all around the world.
In some countries, the situation of COVID-19 is getting worse day by day.
It depends on a country or city, but most government (country or city) are taking some preventive measures against this virus.
Today, let's learn some English expressions about what kind of measures another city is taking against COVID-19, for instance:

・Are there any basic preventive measures against COVID-19 in your city? (あなたの街ではコロナ対策でされていることはありますか？)
・In order to stop the spread of COVID-19, are there any measures in your city? (新型コロナウイルス感染症拡大予防のために、あなたの街では対策をされていますか？)

If you feel these expressions are helpful, please use one of them above when necessary.
