From a Distance (Bette Midler ベット ミドラー）を聞きながら

１９９０年８月２日に、クウェートに侵略したイラクに対し、

翌年１月１７日に国連軍が仕掛けた湾岸戦争

当時、無益な戦いに無くなって行く緑の大地と人々の命の為に

歌手であり、女優でもある演者としての願いを込めて、ベットミドラーが歌った歌です

東日本大震災で失われた様々な大切な物

それを想う時、この曲を聴きたくなりました
