東京の下町、葛飾区にある小さな堀切菖蒲園に行ってきた。
菖蒲を見に行くには、早朝に限る。
夕方になると、菖蒲はだらんとしおれちゃってるから、、、。
菖蒲は、朝はしゃきっと元気がいい。
朝早くに友人と行った。
8時に菖蒲園が開くので、８時に行った。
菖蒲まつりをちょうどやっていた。
In Tokyo downtown, Katsushika-ku, there is a small Japanese Iris garden, called Horikiri Shobu en.
It is very important to go to early morning for watching Japanese Iris flower.
Because flowers will be very tired in the afternoon.
They are very fine and fresh in early morning!
I went to there in early morning with my friend.
The garden open at 8 am, we were there at 8 am!
Shobu Matsuri (Iris festival) was opened at that time.
この菖蒲の名前は「夏姿」。
この花を見てると、浴衣姿の粋な女性が目に浮かぶ。
This iris is called "Natsu-sugata". Natsu-sugata means summer dressed or summer figure.
I can imagine a nice woman on yukata by this flower.
