Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay departure from the Komazawa Olympic Park Central Plaza on July 10, 2020 (Fri) 

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a torch relay in all 62 municipalities for 15 days until the day of the opening ceremony, just before the Games. Starting from the central square of Komazawa Olympic Park in Setagaya Ward and Meguro Ward, where the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games were held, relays will be held mainly in the Tama and Shima areas until the first half of July 17. From July 18 to the last day, a torch relay will be held in the ward, and the torch relay in Tokyo will reach the goal at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

東京都は、大会の直前、開会式当日までの15日間にわたって、全62市区町村で聖火リレーを実施。東京1964オリンピック競技大会の会場であった世田谷区・目黒区の駒沢オリンピック公園中央広場からスタートし、前半の7月17日までは、主に多摩地域と島しょ地域でリレーを実施。7月18日から最終日までは、区部で聖火リレーを実施し、東京都内の聖火リレーは東京都庁でゴールを迎える。
