Today, let's learn some English about cleaning.
The day before yesterday, I introduced some English vocabulary about cleaning in this blog.
There are a lot of goods for cleaning and also there are a lot of actions for cleaning.
So, today let's learn English about actions when cleaning!
For example, "Every morning, I..."
・clean up the house / tidy up the house
・sweep the floor
・vacuum the carpet
・fill the bucket with water and wet a cloth
・wipe windows with a cloth
・clean the floor with a mop
When you clean up your room, think about what you are doing in English!

一昨日のブログで“掃除用具”に関する英語を紹介しました。

掃除用具には様々な物があるのと同様に、掃除をする時には色々な動作があります。

今日はいくつか“掃除での動作”に関する英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば、"Every morning, I..."（毎朝、私は…）

・clean up the house / tidy up the house （家の掃除をする）

・sweep the floor （床を掃く）

・vacuum the carpet （じゅうたんに掃除機をかける）

・fill the bucket with water and wet a cloth （バケツに水をいれて、ぞうきんをぬらす）

Today, let’s learn some daily English vocabulary.
Everybody sleeps but it's not easy for us to describe sleeping positions.
The reason I brought this topic is some of my students were talking about sleep after lesson.
So, today let's learn some English related to sleeping especially sleeping positions.
For instance, "I usually sleep..."
・on my back
・on my right side
・on my left side
・on my face / on my stomach
Also, you can say...
・I roll over in my bed.
Which sleeping position do you prefer?

本日は“意外と知らない日常の身近な英語 - 眠る姿勢に関連する英語”です。

先日、英語学校の生徒の方たちがレッスン外の時間で“睡眠”について英語で話していました。

全てを聞いていたわけではないのですが、生徒の方たちは睡眠時間などのことについて話していたようでした。

眠りについての話題は身近ですが、眠る姿勢を英語で表現するとなるとなると、あまり馴染みがないのではないかと思います。

なので今日は“眠る姿勢”についての英語を取り上げてみたいと思います。

例えば“I usually sleep...”（いつも・・・寝る）

・on my back（仰向けになって）

・on my right side（右を下にして）

・on my left side（左を下にして）

・on my face / on my stomach（うつぶせになって）

また、眠る姿勢ではありませんが眠るに関連して…

・I roll over in my bed.（ベッドで寝返りをうつ）

などの表現があります。

英語のトリビアとして少し覚えておいて損はないと思います！
