本日のブログは“ビジネスメールや電話でも使える「お返事ください」の英語表現（日本語編）”です。

日常のビジネス・仕事の中では、クライアントやお客様とのやりとりをする機会があると思います。

そのやりとりの中で「お返事をください」と言いたい時もあるかと思います。

今日はこのような「お返事をください」と言いたい時にメールや電話でも使える、英語表現をいくつか学習していきたいと思います。

例えば…

・We'd like a response by next Friday. (来週の金曜日までにお返事いただきたいのですが)
・Please let us know your decision by next Friday. (来週の金曜日までにご決断をお知らせください)
・Would it be possible to get your final decision by next Friday? (来週の金曜日までに最終決定をお聞かせ願えますでしょうか？)

昨日のブログでもいくつか他の「お返事ください」の英語表現を紹介しておりますので、よろしければご確認ください。

またこれらの英語を使う機会があれば、積極的に使ってみましょう。

会話で使う時のポイントは、はっきり聞こえる声で、です。

Today, let's learn some English expressions from recent news topics.
These days, we can hear or see the news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites every day.
They say more and more people are infected with the Coronavirus all around the world.
This is surely bad news for everyone, and I hope the spread of Coronavirus infections will settle down soon and things will get back to normal as soon as possible.
Under this circumstance, some of us might need to send or might have a chance to send messages to someone in English.
In this situation, we can ask some questions to someone who is such as business clients, foreign colleagues, friends about their lives.
The question could be like "What would you like to do if things return to normal soon?"
Today, let's practice some responses to answer this question in English.
Now, let's try to translate each Japanese sentence below into English.

1. カラオケに行きたいです

＝ I would like to go to Karaoke.

2. 旅行がしたいです

＝ I would like to travel.

3. 友達と遊びたいです

＝ I would like to hang out with my friends.

本日のブログは“いざという時のためのビジネス英会話表現 ～ 商談時に使える英語表現（お返事を期日までにいただきたい時のひとこと）”です。

日常のビジネスの中で、英語を使う機会（例：挨拶、連絡、報告、会議、E-mail等）は色々とあると思います。

ビジネス英語と言っても様々なシチュエーションが考えられますが、今日は「商談」時に使える英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

いきなり英語となると緊張をすると思いますが、しっかりと準備をしておけば、いざという時も少しは落ち着いて対処できると思います。

今日は、いざという時のために「自分の英語力で対応するための口頭英作文トレーニング」をしていきたいと思います。

「来週の金曜日までにお返事をいただきたいのですが」

様々な英語表現が可能です。

答えはの一例は下記にありますが、まずは自分で英文作りにトライしてみましょう。

また、すぐに英文が頭の中および口から出てくるように基礎英語力を着実に身につけていきましょう。

なお、答えの確認後は「口に出して読む（音読）」「ノートに書く」「書いたものを見直す」等のトレーニングを定期的にして英語力定着を図りましょう。

Good morning, and I appreciate your visit to English Plus' blog!
Today, I'd like to write about the official TOEIC test I took last month.
On July 24th, the 212th TOEIC test was held, and it was my first time to take the TOEIC test since it was renewed this May.
In the new TOEIC test, I found several changes.
In the Listening part, I heard "earth" in the Part1 (Photographs).
When I checked the photo, I was guessing "soil", "ground" or some other words, so when heard "earth", I was kind of shocked.
What I felt from the new Part1 is we need to increase vocabulary more.
In the Part2 (Question-Response), there are a lot of "indirect answers" in the answer choices.
From here, I thought that we need to improve more natural conversational skills.
In the Reading part, especially Part7, there are a lot more reading volumes now.
I was able to finish the test just 5 minutes before the test was over.
What I felt from the Reading part was we need to improve reading speed.
Overall, in my opinion as an English instructor, we should do self-study every day in order to get a higher score in the TOEIC test.
If you study English every day, you can improve your English skills.
If you improve your English skills, your TOEIC score must improve little by little.
Let's study English every day and get better results on the TOEIC test in the near future!

Today, let's learn some tips for the new TOEIC test.
As you probably know that the TOEIC test consists of 2 sections "Listening section (Part 1-4) & Reading section (Part 5-7)."
Listening section is about 45 min, plus Reading section is about 75 min.
There is no break between Listening and Reading, so you have to concentrate on English for 2 hours in a row.
The next official TOEIC test is going to be on July 24th.
Since this May, the contents of TOEIC test have changed.
For instance, the number of the questions in the most parts has changed.
Part 2 is Question-Response, and is now composed of 25 questions.
You have to choose the best response to the question or statement.
One tip for this Part 2 is to improve basic speaking & communication skills.
If you get used to verbal English communication, you might feel a little easy in the Part 2.
Needless to say, listening skill is also important for communication.

Today, I’d like to write about a training method for Part 2 in the TOEIC test.
As you probably know that the TOEIC test consists of 2 sections "Listening section (Part 1-4) & Reading section (Part 5-7)" and Listening is about 45 min, plus Reading is about 75 min.
There is no break between Listening and Reading, so you have to concentrate on the test for 2 hours in a row.
The next official TOEIC test is scheduled on May 29th.
This time, it is going to be the first new form, and some of you may be thinking about taking it.
To improve your TOEIC score, the most important thing is "to prepare for the test."
So, from today, let's prepare for the TOEIC test and at the same time, let's improve basic English skills!
Today, let's try some English training for the TOEIC Part 2.
The Part 2 is composed of 25 questions and you have to choose the best response to the question or statement.
To get a better score in the Part 2, you should do some training and prepare for it!
Before starting today's training, what you need is Official TOEIC preparation TEST (or some TOEIC practice test) and an MP 3 player or a CD player.
The training is called “Shadowing (in your mind).”
“Shadowing” is one of training methods that can be done anywhere and anytime.
Here is how to do:
1. Listen to a question sentence from the TOEIC Part 2.
2. Right after you hear the question sentence, stop the CD & repeat what you've just heard in your mind. (If you can, please say it out loud.)
e.g. (you hear) "How about going out for lunch?" (in your mind, you repeat) "How about going out for lunch?"
3. Imagine the situation, and listen to the 3 answer choices & repeat each choice in your mind.
4. Choose the answer.
5. Check the script to see if the sentences your repeat are correct.
If you continue this training every day, it will help you improve not only your TOEIC score, but also your basic English skills.

Today, let's practice some basic English for the TOEIC test part 2.
As you probably know that the TOEIC test consists of 2 sections "Listening section (Part 1-4) & Reading section (Part 5-7)" and Listening is about 45 min, plus Reading is about 75 min.
There is no break between Listening and Reading, so you have to concentrate on the test for 2 hours in a row.
The next official TOEIC test is scheduled on April 10th.
Some of you may be thinking about taking it and aiming to get a better score.
To improve your TOEIC score, the most important thing is "to prepare for the test."
So, from today, let's prepare for the TOEIC test and at the same time, let's learn some basic English skills!
Today, let's try some English training for the TOEIC Part 2.
The Part 2 is currently composed of 30 questions and you have to choose the best response to the question or statement.
About this Part 2 questions, you can do the training through daily life.
How-to-do the training is simple because what you need to do is "having a conversation in English."
To have a conversation, what you need is a partner because conversation consists of asking questions and answering them.
However, you might feel speaking English with Japanese is strange...if so, you should interpret or translate the conversation in English.
For instance, when you hear a conversation like this...
A: "それどこで買ったの？"
B: "田町で見つけた新しいお店で買ったんだ"
The situation could be in daily or business.
The point of this training is to think in English.
You don't have to make grammatically perfect sentences, but let's try to make sentences with your own vocabulary and grammar.
It will help you to improve not only your TOEIC score, but also your basic English skills.

・No problem.
・It's nothing.
・Don't mention it.
・Any time.
・That's OK.
Let's try to use some English expressions when they are necessary!

英語に限らず、どのような言語でも“あいさつの表現”がありますが、その中でもよく使われる表現に“thank you”があります。

“thank you”以外にも様々な“ありがとう”の英語表現がありますが、同様に“どういたしまして”にも様々な英語表現があります。

今日は“どういたしまして”の英語表現を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば…

時には、"You are welcome"以外の表現も使って表現の幅を広げていきましょう！
