Today, let's learn some English expressions from recent news topics of COVID.
We've heard or seen a lot about the news reports regarding Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites since last spring.
Even though now the vaccine is available, there are some new types of variants and quite a few new cases are still reported every day around the world.
This is really bad news for people all over the world, and I hope the spread of Coronavirus infections will settle down very soon and things will get back to normal as soon as possible.
Under this circumstance in Japan, we are going to host summer Olympic games in Tokyo soon.
So, today let's learn some expressions to tell your foreign friends about the current situation in Japan, especially the rumor of the fifth wave of COVID-19 in English.

・Some say that the fifth wave of the COVID-19 may happen during the Tokyo Olympics.
・I heard a rumor that the fifth wave of the COVID might hit Japan during the summer Olympics games.

本日のブログは“English Plusレッスン受講生のレッスンでこれが言いたかった「卵の黄身」の英語表現 ２０２１年５月４週のレッスンから”です。

東京・田町の英語学校English Plusではレッスン受講生の「しっかりとした確固たる基礎的な英語力を身につける」ことに注力しています。

そのため「ある程度の英語学習時間および努力」が必要になることをレッスン受講生にはお伝えしていますが、また同時に「英語学習を無理なく習慣化」する方法もお伝えし、お一人お一人無理のない範囲で取り組んでもらっています。

English Plusではレッスン受講生に「定期的なレッスン受講」と共に「毎日の自己学習」を提案していますが、レッスンの最中や自己学習に取り組む中で「疑問点」や「こんなことが言いたかった」ということをレッスン受講生からお聞きします。

今日は実際のレッスンの中から、レッスン受講生が言いたかった一言を学習していきたいと思います。

今日のこれが言いたかったは「卵の黄身」です。

この週では、可算名詞・不可算名詞の学習をするレッスンがあり、その中で食べ物の話になりました。

その中で「卵」の話題になりましたが、今日は復習も兼ねレッスンの中ででてきた「卵の黄身」の表現を英語で考えてみましょう。

少し考えた上で、口から英語が出てくるように、毎日少しずつ基礎英語力を上げていきましょう。（答えの一例は当ブログの下記にありますのでよろしければご確認ください。また確認後は口から出す音読トレーニングをしましょう。）

本日のブログは“自分の英語に自信がない…自分の間違いに自分で気づける基礎英語力をつける第一歩！English Plusレッスン受講生用2021年2月第1週英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、２０２１年２月第１週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

1. Is it made by Japan?
2. Did you have a famous architect designed your house?
3. It was crowded than I thought.
4. My house is smaller than you.
5. Thank you for your patient.

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文が口からすぐに出てくる基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

なお、基礎英語力を鍛えていく「英会話レッスン」をEnglish Plusで開講中です。英語初級者の方の参加も大歓迎です。

本日のブログは“新型コロナウイルスに関しての英語表現「日本ではコロナの第４波が近々起こると噂されています」と言いたい時に使える英語表現（日本語編）”です。

昨年の春から、日本のみならずアメリカやカナダのテレビやラジオ、インターネットのニュースでも取り上げられているように、ニュースの話題は専らコロナウイルスですが、ワクチンのよって状況が良くなってきている所もあれば、場所によっては変異株の影響等でまだ状況が悪化している所もあります。

現在、世界中で問題になっているコロナウイルスですが、日本においても世界でも現段階ではいつ収束するかわからない状況です。

These days, we hear or see the news reports about Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on TV, the radio, and websites every day.
They say more and more people are still infected with the Coronavirus all around the world.
In some places, we can see the second wave of COVID-19 is hitting and the situation is getting worse.
This is surely bad news for people around the world, and I hope the spread of Coronavirus infections will settle down soon and things will get back to normal as soon as possible.
Under this circumstance, some of us might need to send or might have a chance to send messages to someone in English.
In this situation, we can report the situation in our country to our business clients, foreign colleagues, friends.
So, today, let's learn some expressions about the current COVID-19 situation in English.

・The situation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Japan is getting better little by little.
・It seems that the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is under control in Japan.
