English Plus is a small language school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, I'd like to write about our lesson programs for "Elementary school students" and "Junior high school students" at English Plus.
Since English Plus started in 2011, we have prepared and offered a lot of lessons for both adults and kids.
Most of the lessons are "Group lessons", which consist of max 4 students in a class.
Some group lessons for "Kids (Elementary school students and Junior high school students)" are as follows.

・Elementary school student basic English lesson (小学生用基礎英語・基礎英会話クラス): This is for elementary school students over grade 3 and they can learn some basic phonics and acquire well-balanced English skills (60min)

・Junior high school basic English lesson (中学生用基礎英語・基礎英会話クラス）: This is for junior high school students and good for those who are thinking about trying Eiken exam too (60min)

In addition to our group lessons, we have "Private lesson." (45min)
One advantage of "Private lesson" is they can learn English at their own pace.
Also, our private lessons can be customized, so even if a student is using an original textbook at his/her junior high school, no problem because we can arrange the lessons according to each student's purpose or goal.

English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, I'd like to write about one of our lesson programs for "Junior high school students" at English Plus.
Since English Plus started in 2011, we have prepared and offered a lot of lessons for both adults and kids.
Most of the lessons are "Group lessons", which consist of max 4 students in a class.
Some of our group lessons for "Adults" are as follows:
・Conversation lesson: This is good for those who would like to talk about what they want more freely (90min)
・TOEIC exam preparation lesson: This is a lesson for those who want to improve not only TOEIC score but also basic English ability (90min)
・1st Step English lesson: This is for beginners and you can talk about your daily lives one by one through the lessons (60min)
In addition to these lessons, we also have "Travel conversation lesson", "Basic listening lesson", "Business English lesson", and "TESOL course."
Some group lessons for "Kids" are such as:
・Phonics and Basic English lesson: This is for elementary school students and they can learn some basic phonics and acquire well-balanced English skills (60min)
・Junior High School English lesson: This is for junior high school students and good for those who are thinking about trying Eiken exam too (60min)
In addition to our group lessons, we have another one "Private lesson." (45min)
One advantage of "Private lesson" is they can learn English at their own pace.
Plus, they can ask questions more easily and they can clarify some points that they don't understand.
As COVID-19 pandemic started, we are often asked about "Private lessons" from the parents who have junior high school kids.
Our Private lessons can be customized, so even if a student is using an original textbook at his/her junior high school, no problem because we can arrange the lessons according to each student's purpose or goal.
Currently, there are a few time slots for private lessons available.
The private lesson is 45-min, and they can choose either once a week or twice a week.

At English Plus, we are currently accepting new students.
Plus, we are accepting legal entity (corporation) too.
So far, we've provided some English lessons for...
・expanding business abroad
・improving workers' TOEIC score
・communicating with foreign customers and clients
・helping company executives to improve their pronunciation for speech
and so on.
In the program for legal entity, its students can take lessons not only at English Plus but also at its office.
If some companies have special requests, we might be able to offer customized programs too.
Since we have limited number of staff members, if you are interested in our programs, please ask us as soon as possible.

At English Plus, we are currently accepting new students.
Plus, we've just started to accept legal entity (corporation).
In the new program for legal entity, its students can take lessons not only at English Plus but also at its office.
We can provide several lessons, such as, TOEIC lessons, Travel Conversation lessons, Basic English skills courses, and so on.
If some companies have requests, we can suggest customized programs too.

Today, I'd like to write about one of our English school's unique points.
Last autumn, we started providing a self-study check sheet for our students.
The uniqueness of this "self-study check sheet" is customized for each student!
After we ask their goals or purposes to study English, we make an original self-study plan for each student.
Since we started this sheet more than a half year ago, this time we've checked it again and changed some parts.
Because of some change, I think it has become much easier to use and good for improving English skills!
I believe "self-study is essential in order to improve English skills!"

おはようございます。English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“小さな英語学校ができる生徒の方々への英語力アップサポート - 新しい個別自己学習シート”です。

昨年の秋に生徒の方々に向けて、セルフスタディ（英語自己学習）チェックシートの配布を始めました。

English Plusのセルフスタディチェックシートの特徴は、生徒の方一人一人にカスタマイズされている点です。

具体的には、英語学習の目的・目標などをお聞きした後、各生徒の方に合わせてオリジナルの“英語講師おすすめ英語自己学習シート”を作成しています。

このセルフスタディシートを配布し始めて６ヶ月以上が経過しましたが、この度、生徒の方々の英語力アップのサポートを強化するためにシートの見直しをしました。

様々な点を変更したことにより、目標達成までの自己学習のプランがわかりやすくなったと同時に、より自己学習に取り組みやすくなったと思います。

英語力アップのために“自己学習は必須”ですので、自己学習にもっと励みたいという現English Plusの生徒の方はいつでもどうぞ！

また、“英語を始めようかな”とお考えの方も英語学校の生徒になり次第、英語力アップのサポートをスタッフ一同していきますので、お気軽にどうぞ！

Good morning and thanks a lot for checking out English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce one of our English school's unique points about student support system.
Right now, upon our students' requests, we provide a self-study check sheet at our English school.
The uniqueness of this self-study check sheet is we can customize a self-study plan for each student after listening to their life styles, their purposes to study English and so on; therefore, it's not difficult for them to carry it out since the average self-study time is about 30 minutes every day!
However, there are some rules that the students who received this sheet to follow...
1. They have to continue self-study!
2. To continue self-study, they have to show the sheet to us regularly! (There is a yearly calendar so they can check the day that they study.)
I strongly believe that "To improve English skills, self-study is essential!"
If you are our students and are serious about learning English, please ask us the sheet for yourself!
Also, if you are currently not a student at English Plus, but you want to learn English from this fall with us and want to know how to study English by yourself, please visit us!

本日は“小さな英語学校のユニークな英語力アップサポート - 個別セルフスタディチェックシート”についてです。

現在、英語学校では生徒の方のリクエストに応じて、個別にセルフスタディ（英語自己学習）のためのチェックシートを作成しています。

セルフスタディチェックシートの特徴は、普段の生活の中で一人一人に合わせた無理のないおすすめの英語自己学習の方法（例：スピーキング力アップ）や時間（３０分程度）などをおすすめしている点です。

このセルフスタディチェックシートを受け取った際の生徒の方のルールとしましては…

１．受け取ったら絶対に自己学習を続ける！

２．定期的にこのシートを見せる！（シートには自己学習の年間カレンダーがついており、自己学習をした日にチェックを入れてもらうように工夫しています）

英語力アップのために“自己学習は必須！”ですので、現生徒の方で本気で英語の自己学習に取り組みたい方はいつでも相談にどうぞ！（また、この秋からEnglish Plusで英語を始めたい方で自己学習も一緒に！という方もお気軽にどうぞ！）
