English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, let's practice English from English Plus' lessons.
At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English a lot especially during lessons.
Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through the lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons during the third week of June in 2022 below.

1. The concert called off last year.
2. The place where I worked at is Okinawa.
3. I have to choice some clothes.
4. German is very safe.

Let's improve English skills little by little!

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日のブログは“自分の英語に自信がない…自分の間違いに自分で気づける基礎英語力をつける第一歩！English Plusレッスン受講生用2020年11月第4週英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

またレッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、２０２０年１１月第４週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

1. She worked at Yokohama last year.
2. I don't know how can we do at Kyoto on this December.
3. Last month, I’ve been to Okinawa and ride a motorcycle.
4. I saw a lot of fishes.
5. What did you do when you were childhood?

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文が口からすぐに出てくる基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

Today, let's learn some English vocabulary from English Plus' lessons.
During English Plus' lessons, our students have a chance to talk about a wide variety of topics.
In the lesson, they talk about a topic, and the topics change frequently and naturally.
For instance, when they talk about cooking, the topic of cooking changes to ingredients, a recipe, a favorite grocery store, some items they saw in a supermarket, and so on.
To continue conversation naturally and freely, in addition to basic English knowledge of grammar, it's necessary to know about vocabulary.
Knowledge of vocabulary often helps us to communicate.
During one of this year's English lessons, our students talked about "alcohol" since we have had some opportunities to drink alcohol in end-of-year parties, new-year parties, and so on.
Actually, alcohol has a lot of kinds, and today let's learn English vocabulary about alcohol especially "Japanese and Chinese alcohol."
Now, let's check the vocabulary below.
1. 日本酒 ＝ sake
2. 焼酎 ＝ shochu (Japanese distilled beverage)
3. 泡盛 ＝ awamori (Okinawan distilled beverage)
4. 梅酒 ＝ plum wine
5. 紹興酒 ＝ Shaoxing wine
To master vocabulary, you can either of the techniques below.
・Read out loud
・Write
・Check the spelling carefully
If you want to know more about alcohol, you should google and find the information in English.
In this case, you can learn about alcohol and read English.
You might use the vocabulary above during conversation sometime in the future, so let's get prepared for such an opportunity from now.

本日は“English Plusのレッスンの復習 ～ 自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2018年8月第4週の英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文ができるように基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

It's raining cats and dogs in Tamachi right now.
Speaking of rain, we hear a lot of news about weather at this time of year.
One example is that the other day, a huge typhoon came in Okinawa, Japan.
Now we are in the middle of typhoon season in Japan.
So, today let's learn English related to typhoon.

When we hear the news about typhoon, these words are often used, for example...
・wind velocity
・the maximum instantaneous wind speed
Take care of yourself when a typhoon approach where you are.

本日は“最近の話題を英語で言ってみよう - 台風に関しての英語”です。

今、田町ではかなりの雨が降っていますが、この時期は、天気についてのニュースを耳にします。

つい最近では大きな台風が沖縄に来ました。

この時期、日本では台風の季節なので自然と天気についての話題になることが多いのかもしれません。

そんな今日は台風に関しての英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば…

・typhoon （台風）

・strong wind （強風）

・heavy rain （大雨）

・flood （洪水）

・high tide （高潮）

・landslide （崖崩れ）

台風に関してのニュースを聞くと、以下の英語も使われていると思います。
