本日のブログは“自分の英語に自信がない…自分の間違いに自分で気づける基礎英語力をつける第一歩！English Plusレッスン受講生用2022年1月第2週英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、２０２２年１月第２週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

1. I watch TV evening.
2. She never been in Mexico.
3. I want to take hot spring in next Sat.
4. Is it need in my life?

スムーズかつ自然に正しい英文が口からすぐに出てくる基礎英語力アップのために、学んだ後は音読トレーニング等の復習・トレーニングを重ねましょう。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“English Plusのレッスンから学ぶ英語のトリビア「２０１８ワールドカップの参加国」の英単語（日本語編）”です。

先週の木曜日（６月１４日）から2018FIFAワールドカップが始まりました。

ご存知の方もいらっしゃると思いますが、今大会はロシアで行われており開催期間は７月１５日までとなっています。

ワールドカップ開幕以来、English Plusのレッスンの中でもサッカーについての話題も徐々に増えてきました。

今回のワールドカップには３２か国が参加していますが、参加国の中には英語・日本語で違う国もあります。（例えば、昨日のブログで出てきたアルゼンチンは英語ですと、Argentinaになります）

今日は参加３２か国中、１６か国が集まるGroup EからHまでの国々を学習していきたいと思います。

Good morning and thank you very much for checking out English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about one of some tips for those who would like to gain confidence in English conversation and their English ability.
As I wrote in this previous blog, when we start learning something new, all of us are beginners.
Although I studied English in junior high and high schools, I was a false-beginner when I first went to Canada to study English.
After finishing learning English, I became an English teacher in Japan, but I had a lot of hard time while learning English.
The first difficulty I faced was that I felt English was very difficult.
There were some reasons why English was difficult, and I clearly remember that the first three or four months were very tough for me.
From my personal learning experience, I'd like to share another tip about gaining confidence in English conversation and ability.
The second advice is "Speak up when speaking English."
When I first went to Canada to study English, I met and became friends with a lot of classmates from different countries, such as Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and so on.
Almost all of them spoke English with good voice volume, which made me feel they had enough confidence to speak English even though their grammar was sometimes incorrect.
What I would like to say here for those who would like to gain confidence in their English is "speak up!"
When you speak up, you can have confidence step by step!

Since I began to teach English, 10 years has already passed.
Through my career as an English instructor, I've had some opportunities to teach students from all over the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and so on.
From my teaching experience, I've learned and discovered a lot of things from my students.
One of the things I've learned through teaching English lessons is that the speed of improvements on English skills depends on a student.
This is true that some students can improve their English skills slowly but steadily; others can improve quickly.
In my opinion, those who can improve their English skills quickly have 5 common characteristics, and today I'd like to write about the last one.
The last one is someone who makes "English lesson and self-study" his/her daily routine.
If someone studies English every day and it becomes like taking a bath or eating 3 meals every day, they can improve their English skills fast and steadily.
In addition, if someone enjoys learning and using English, they can improve their English skills faster.
So, let's enjoy taking lessons and learning English!

Today, I'd like to write about a piece of advice for English learners who are taking lessons.
Since I began to teach English, 10 years has already passed.
Through my career as an English instructor, I've had some opportunities to teach students from all over the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and so on.
From my teaching experience, I've learned and discovered a lot of things from my students.
One of the things I've learned through teaching English lessons is that the speed of improvements on English skills depends on a student.
This is true that some students can improve their English skills slowly but steadily; others can improve quickly.
In my opinion, those who can improve their English skills quickly have 5 common characteristics, and today I'd like to write about the fourth one.
The fourth one is someone who can do self-study after each lesson.
At English Plus, we offer some self-study support that our students can do in their free time.
In addition to our support, some students do more self-study by themselves.
In my personal view, those who do self-study including lesson review improve a lot faster than those who don't.
Also, someone who does self-study often asks good questions that they don't know through the lesson or self-study, and to ask questions, they have routine to take a note.
I can say for sure that self-study helps improve our English skills faster.
There is self-study space available at English Plus, and all of our students are welcome to come to do self-study anytime we are open!

In my opinion, those who can improve their English skills quickly have 5 common characteristics, and today I'd like to write about the third one.
The third one is someone who is not afraid of speaking English.
During lessons, some students hesitate to speak English because they don't want to make mistakes.
I understand how they feel since I was one of them too.
However, in order to improve English skills, we shouldn't be afraid of making mistakes when speaking English.
In Canada (or some other English speaking countries), you have a lot of chance to meet foreign students who come there to learn English.
A lot of them don't hesitate to speak English because they are basically not afraid of making mistakes.
By making mistakes, we can learn some other things too, so let's try to speak English a lot.
From my point of view as an English instructor, someone who is not afraid of making mistakes can improve their English skills quickly.
It takes some time to strengthen your mind, but at English Plus, our classroom size is maximum 4 students so our students can get used to speaking a lot even though they are shy at first.
Let's try to learn and speak English a lot and improve English skills a lot.

Today, I'd like to write about a piece of advice for English learners who are taking lessons.
Since I began to teach English, a decade has passed.
Through my career as an English instructor, I've had some opportunities to teach students from all over the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and so on.
From my teaching experience, I've learned and discovered a lot of things from my students.
One of the things I've learned through teaching English is that the speed of improvements on English skills depends on a student.
This is true that some students can improve their English skills slowly but steadily; others can improve quickly.
In my opinion, those who can improve their English skills quickly have 5 common characteristics, and today I'd like to write about the second one.
The second one is someone who can ask questions.
During lessons, students sometimes encounter some unknown vocabulary or grammar.
In case of this situation, one characteristic of students who can improve English skills quickly is to ask questions.
If they don't know the word or grammar point, they usually ask questions.
By asking questions, they can not only know and understand the answer but also communicate with their teacher or their classmates.
Another good point of asking questions is that the question might be a very good question that everyone wants to ask.
From my point of view as an English instructor, someone who can ask questions can improve their English skills quickly.
Let's ask questions politely and improve English skills a lot!

One of the things I've learned through teaching English lessons is that the speed of improvements on English skills depends on a student.
This is true that some students can improve their English skills slowly but steadily; others can improve quickly.
In my opinion, those who can improve their English skills quickly have 5 common characteristics, and today I'd like to share one of them.
The first one is someone who can listen.
What I mean here "listen" is someone who can listen to others carefully until the story ends.
By listening carefully, they can get the gist of the story easily.
Also, they can nod or do some reactions well according to the story, so their communication skills can improve a lot too.
Let's "listen" to other students and teachers during lessons, and improve a lot!

Today, I'd like to write about a piece of advice for English learners who are taking lessons.
Through my career as an English instructor, I've had some opportunities to teach students from all over the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia and so on.
From my experience, I can say that some students improve steadily and these students have some things in common.
One of them is they do self-study.
However, they not only do self-study but also take lessons effectively.
So, today I'd like to share one of the tips to take lessons effectively.
The last tip is...
"Don't be passive (during lessons.)"
For instance, if your instructor or your classmate asks you a question, just don't answer the question.
If they ask you a question, answer the question first and then ask them a question.
Let's finish one-way communication (Question→Answer) and challenge mutual communication (Question→Answer&Question).
Needless to say, if you want to enjoy communication in English, you need to improve your basic English skills.
Through regular English lessons and self-study, let's improve English skills day by day!
