Good morning and thank you very much for your time to stop by English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today I'd like to write about English Plus' information session in June 2023.
English Plus frequently holds school information sessions.
In the session, we tell you about the lesson contents, lesson schedule, our instructors, and so on.
Also, if you have any questions about our lessons, you can have time to ask us directly.
This month, English Plus' info session's schedule is as follows.

【English Plus school info session in June 2023】
・Every Tuesday: between 13:00 and 19:30
・Every Wednesday: between 13:00 and 19:30
・Every Thursday: between 10:00 and 19:30
・Every Friday: between 13:00 and 19:30
・Every Saturday: between 10:00 and 16:00

During our information session, we won't persuade you to enroll in our school, so please do not worry.
We basically hold info sessions during this time; however, because of some unexpected events, we might cancel them.
If you are interested in joining one of our information sessions above, please reserve your spot through online or phone call.
There are two info sessions available - Face-to-face info session at English Plus OR Zoom online info session.
If you would like to reserve your spot through online, please check out School info session.

Good morning and thank you very much for your time to stop by English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small language school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today I'd like to introduce trial lessons at our English school.
At English Plus, we're currently accepting trial students this month too.
One feature of our trial lesson is that trial students can take one of our regular group lessons.
It means trial students can join a lesson with our regular students and can feel our school atmosphere directly.
Also, trial students can learn and practice English a lot through the lesson.
As of June 2023, these trial lessons are available:

【For High school students and Adults】
・Conversation lesson (90-min lesson every business day & we recommend this lesson for those who would like to learn from basic English and get confidence)
・TOEIC test preparation lesson (90-min lesson on Sat & we strongly recommend this lesson for those who need to improve TOEIC score and business English)

【For Kids - Elementary school and Junior high school students】
・Kids English lesson for elementary school students (60-min lesson on Wed & in this lesson, our students can learn some Phonics and basic English skills)
・STEP-UP English lesson for Junior High School students (60-min lesson on Wed and Fri & this is for junior high school students who want to learn basic English skills for practice usage)

English lessons for Private lessons, and Legal entity (corporation) are also available.
You can reserve one of English Plus' trial lessons from English Plus' trial lessons page.

Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through the lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons during the fourth week of June in 2022 below.

1. How size is the park?
2. The trip called off last year.
3. He go to run at every night.
4. I catch a cold last week.

Let's improve English skills little by little!

Today, I'd like to introduce our latest original YouTube short movies.
As English Plus, we've uploaded some original movies on YouTube for several years, and we began our new project "YouTube Shorts" in June, 2021.
YouTube Shorts movies mean short films, which is within a minute, and we intend to use this "YouTube Shorts" for English learners to study English.
Since then, we've uploaded "Original 40-sec challenge series" (29 movies), "What's this word? series" (4 movies), "Let's enjoy Pictionary series" (5 movies), and brand new series "Let's try to make a dialogue! series." (3 movies) until now.
Each of the movies takes only 40 seconds to study English, so please try when you have time.
We'll try to continue uploading some movies from now on, so please follow us on YouTube.

Today, let's practice some English phrases for English only week at English Plus.
At English Plus, we hold "English Only Week" every once a month.
During this week, all of our students must speak only English during lessons.
The next term is from next Tuesday to Saturday, June 28th - July 2nd.
If they speak Japanese, there is a penalty waiting for them.
So, today I'd like to introduce some English phrases that might be useful during English Only Week.
For instance...

・ 大きな声で話していただけますか？ ＝ Could you speak up please?
・それを書いてもらえますか？ ＝ Could you write it down?

Let's try only English next week!
At English Plus, you can enjoy learning English, and if you have any questions, please ask from English Plus website.
