Today, let’s learn some English related to gym.
Since I started working out at the gym for my health in Toronto, Canada in 2008, I’ve continued going to the gym.
These days, I don’t have as much time as I used to have in Toronto, Canada, so I can't go to the gym as often as I did in Toronto.
However, I try to go there twice a week.
As the book “The 7 habits of highly effective people”, which I recommended on this blog suggests going to the gym, I personally recommend working out regularly because it’s good for your not only physical but also mental health!

・work out (=exercise)
・get fit, stay in shape
・warm up
・cool down

本日は“すぐに使えるジムに関する英語”です。
２００８年カナダ・トロントにいた時から始めた、体づくりのためのジム通いは、日本に帰国してからも続いています。
最近では、トロントにいた頃と同様の時間をジムに割くことができないのですが、週に２回はジムに行くようにしています。
このブログで以前、紹介しました“The 7th habits of highly effective people”という本の中でも体を鍛えることをおすすめしているように“肉体的・精神的な健康維持のため定期的に運動をすること”は大切だと思います。

（運動をする - 英語ではexerciseをwork out と表現することが多い）
・get fit, stay in shape
（体を鍛える）
・warm up
（準備運動）
・cool down
（運動後に行う体操など）
・stretch
（ストレッチ運動）
・aerobic exercise
（有酸素運動）
・cardiovascular training
（ランニング・バイクを使用した心肺機能を高める運動）
・treadmill
（ランニングマシーン）
・gym instructor
（ジム指導員）
ジムに行く機会がありましたら、上記の英語を確認してみましょう。
