去る７月２５日に人生で８回目のTOEICテストを受験してきました。
今回のテストについて正直に言いますと、手ごたえは“いつものように良いけれども完璧ではない”といったところでしょうか。
実際、“いつものように良いけれども完璧ではない”というような手ごたえを感じ始めたのは英語講師として働き始めてからです。
本日は“英語講師のTOEICスコアと英語力の変遷（初回の受験）”と題し、自分の過去のTOEICスコアと実際の英語力を見ていこうと思います。
初回の受験は２００３年、カナダ留学前でした。
その時のスコアは５５５点。
はっきり言いましてテスト中、リスニングに関しては“？？？”の連続。
英語を４５分間集中して聞くことができず・・・という感じでした。
リーディングでは“単語がわからない”→“集中力がなくなる”→“適当にマーク”という感じでした・・・
なので５５５点というスコアはほとんど“奇跡”に近く、“実力でとった”とは言い難いものだと思います。
実際に英語が使えるかどうかというレベルにおいては、“英語圏で何とか生きていける”レベルで、自分のいいたいことをしっかり伝えることなど不可能でした・・・

Yesterday I was surprised to find out that Yoshiki is tweeting in English in his twitter!!
I hope a lot of people tweet in English in the future!!
Anyway, on July 25th, I took the TOEIC test for the 8th time in my life.
Honestly, after the test, I felt that "I did a good job as usual, but not perfect."
I've felt this feeling - "I did a good job as usual, but not perfect" since I started working as an English teacher.
So it means that when I first took the TOEIC for the first time in 2003, I didn't this feeling at all.
On the contrary, I could hardly understand what they said in the TOEIC listening part.
In the TOEIC reading part, there were a lot of unknown vocabulary to me, so lost concentration and marked the answer sheet randomly.
Therefore, I guess the score 555 was a kind of miracle to me.
My real English communication skill was almost zero at that time, and was barely able to survive in English-spoken environment.
