to the organisers of 3rd International Friendly Run
10 November 2013, Tokyo
I am very happy that the Indian Embassy is enthusiastically participating in
the 3rd International Friendly Run being organised by Active International
Association and supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The world has much
to learn from the stoicism, professionalism and humane manner in which the
crisis has been handled by the Japanese people and authorities in the wake
of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Friendly events like these where
international guests mingle with their local hosts,go a long way in
promoting friendship and understanding amongst a wide spectrum of global
citizens.
My best wishes to the organisers and people of Japan.

International Exchange Through Running

On November 10, the third International Embassy Friendly
Run will be held in Tokyo. Embassy staff and non-Japanese
runners will participate in this running event. It’s also possible
for members of the general public to take part, giving
them the opportunity to socialize with embassy staff from
different countries. The application deadline is October 25.
It costs 3,500 yen to participate for 5km, 4,500 yen for 10km
and 5,500 yen for 21km. The venues will be Odaiba-Kaihin
Park (Minato Ward) and Taiyo no Hiroba in Shiokaze Park
(Shinagawa Ward).
