学術誌 正式名称 略称

昔の著書ほど参考文献の学術誌の名称省略が盛んで、検索で苦労することが多い。
海外論文の検索では特に苦労させられます。

電試彙 = 電気試験所彙報（「彙報」は「いほう」と読む）

この他、Frederick W. Grover 著 : Inductance Calculations の References に載っている論文を調べたかったのだが、「B. of S.」という学術雑誌の検索には困った。そもそも正式名称が検索してもなかなか見つからない。著者を英語版Wikipedeiaで調べてそれをヒントに見つかった。こんな調べ方もあるんだ。

「B. of S. Bull.」→「Bulletin of the Bureau of Standards」(1904/05-1918/19)
「B. of S. Sci. Paper」→「Scientific Papers of the Bureau of Standards」(1919/20-1927/28)
「B. of S. Jour. Res.」→「Bureau of Standards Journal of Research」(1928-1934)

これらはアメリカ合衆国の国立標準技術研究所から発行された学術雑誌である。この機関の名称は1901-1988年までは National Bureau of Standards (NBS) 、現在は National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) となっている。
