メジャーリーグのプレイオフが始まってから、オフィスの僕の後ろに置いてあるTVは日中付けっぱなし。しかも今週はボスが出張で不在。期初の忙しい仕事の合間に、横目でプレイオフを楽しんでます。

今日のConan O'Brienの冒頭のジョークで、円周率10万桁を暗証した日本人の話が採り上げられてた。"Apparantly, the number he doesn't know is woman's phone number."

アメリカチームが世界選手権で苦戦した理由として、3ポイントラインの違いから来る「コートの狭さ」を挙げた（その１、その２、その３）。その中で、米国女子が依然国際大会で強さを保っている理由は、3ポイントラインがWNBAと国際ルールで変わらないから、なんて書いたのだが、気がついたら、米国女子は準決勝でロシアに敗れ男子と同じく銅メダルに終わっていた。うーん、困った。2006MVPのLisa Leslieが出てなかったから、ってことにしておこうか。今日もヨーロッパで行われたExhibition Gameでシクサーズが負けたなんて記事が出ていて、いよいよアメリカバスケの威信は低下してきている。

最後は懲りずに昨日の続き。95年版から、また気に入った選手紹介コメントを。
