日光を見ずして結構と言うなかれ See Nikko and die

「日光を見ずして結構と言うなかれ」という言葉があるけど、私は初めて日光に行った時は、それがよく実感できなかった。

この言葉、「ナポリを見て死ね」の日本バージョンみたいだね。

日光にはまだ１０回も行っていないが、この言葉の意味を最近とても実感している。

日光の自然はすばらしい。戦場ヶ原をハイキングしていると、そこかしこから鳥のさえずりが聞こえてくる。

一週間前の日光では、強い日差しもなく、雨でもなく、曇りで涼しい絶好のハイキング日和だった。

木々や植物はみずみずしく、青々としていてそれは美しかった。

 

We say "See Nikko and die"(Don't say "wonderful" until you've seen Nikko) in Japan, when I went to Nikko for the first time, I couldn't realise this prophet.

"See Nikko and die" is like "Voir Naple et mourrir".

I've already visited there less than 10 times, I really realise this prophet meaning reacently.

Nikko's nature is wonderful, when you are walking in Senjogahara, you hear birds' song here and there.

I went to Nikko a week ago, it was perfect weather for hiking, not sunny, not rainy, but cloudy and cool.

Tree and grass leaves were so fresh and green, so beautiful.

 

戦場ヶ原からは雲をかぶった男体山が見える。

You see Mt. Nantai san with cloud hat from Senjogahara.
