あなたにとっての故郷とは？ Where is your hometown?

破天荒な森田先生、小学校の先生なのですが、うちの学校へ来て特別授業をしてくれました。

森田先生は、私たちに質問しました。

「あなたの故郷はどこですか？」そしてさらに「なぜそこが故郷だと思うのですか？」と聞きました。

生徒たちは、ほとんどが自分の生まれたところを離れて日本の東京に暮らしているので、「故郷」について考えるところが多くあるようでした。

この質問をした後、森田先生は先生自身のことについて語っていきました。

森田先生の故郷の一つはボスニアヘルツェゴヴィナである、と。

Mr.Morita, who is an elementary school's teacher, he came to our school and he had a special lesson for us.

He asked us a question, "Where is your hometown?", and he asked more, "Why do you think that place is your hometown?".

Many of them left their hometowns and live here in Tokyo, Japan, it seemed that questions made them a lot of thinking.

After he posed these questions, he told about himself.

He said that one of his hometown is Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

あなたはどうでしょうか？

私自身のことを言うと、故郷は生まれ育った佐世保ですが、でも、、、故郷といえる場所は他にもあるかもしれません。

How about you?

I think that my hometown is Sasebo, where I was born and grown up, but....maybe I have another places more.

 

森田先生は、なぜボスニアヘルツェゴヴィナが彼の故郷と思っているのか話してくれました。

それはとても興味深い話でした。

生徒の多くは日本語があまりわかりませんが、先生の話を一生懸命聞き、理解しようとしていました。

Mr.Morita told us why he thinks his hometown is Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was very interesting.

A lot of students can't understand the japanese, but they listened his story and tried to understand.

 

スカイプ中継でサラエボとつなぎ、サラエボの街をまるで歩いているかのように中継を見ました。

それは素晴らしかったです。

森田先生はボスニアヘルツェゴヴィナの戦争について話してくれ、また他の質問を私たちにしました。

「どうやったら、戦争でバラバラになってしまった人々をまた仲良くさせることができるでしょうか？」

生徒たちは色んなアイデアを出しました！

By Skype, we connected to Salajevo, and we saw Salajevo town as if we walked in the town.

It was amazing.

He told about the war of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and posed us an another question.

"How do you think the way of reunite the people who had once battled?" 

Students had many ideas!
