GREENLAND, OX. A group of operators are QRV as OX6YL from
Kangerlussuaq until September 20. Activity is on the HF bands using
CW and SSB. QSL via OZ7AGR.

The group of Martti, OH2BH; Pertti, OH2PM; Veijo, OH6KN; Antti, OH7EA and Juha, OH8NC will escape the Nordic ice and snow to provide you with a 5R8 on low bands and a zone 39 multiplier. Their destination will be Antananarivo, the Republic of Madagascar, and the callsign 5R8X will hit the bands from October 26 – November 10, including the CQWW SSB Contest.

OH2PM and OH6KN will dedicate their efforts to 160M and 80M. This activity is primarily targeted to satisfy global demand on the low bands. The team will be using a large field and a setup of vertical antennas on all low bands. WARC activity will also be provided. The 5R8X team will be using lightweight K3 radios byElecraft and appreciate their support and cooperation. This operation will be conducted in cooperation with Ake, 5R8FU.

OC-295. (Update) Operators John/9M6XRO, Steve/9M6DXX, 9W6AMC, Lee/
9W6LEE and Gordon/G3USR plan to activate the rare IOTA island
of Pulau Sebatik between September 24-27th. Activity will be
on 80-10 meters, but with an emphasis on 40-15 meters. They
will have two stations on the air with amplifiers using a
HexBeam and verticals located directly above the sea water.
Callsigns will be 9M6XRO/P on CW and 9M6DXX/P on SSB, and
they hope to have both stations on the air during all the
major openings to Europe and North America. OC-295 has only
been claimed by 14.2% of IOTA participants having been
activated just once before in July 2006. QSL both callsigns
via M0URX, direct, by the Bureau, or LoTW. For more details

OC-133. (Update) Operators John/9M6XRO, Steve/9M6DXX and Gordon/G3USR,
will be active as 9M6XRO/p, 9M6DXX/p and 9M6/G3USR, respec-
tively, from Labuan Island between October 5-8th, and possibly
between 0000-0200z October 9th. Activity will be on all bands
160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. They will have two
stations with amplifiers on the air using a Hexbeam, verticals
and a 160m Inverted-L very close to the ocean. QSL 9M6XRO/p and
9M6DXX/p via M0URX, and 9M6/G3USR via his home callsign.

C9, MOZAMBIQUE (Update). Operators David/GI4FUM (C91DJ), Gilli/GI8MIV
(C91MV), Tony/G4LDL (C91DL), Glynys/G8KWD (C91KW), Dave/ZS6AVM (C91AV),
Toni/ZS6GF (C91GF) and Daniel/ZS6JR (C91JR) will be active from the
coastal resort of Bilene between October 15-31st. The group plans to
be active in the "Jamboree on the Air" (October 16-17th) using the
callsign C91MS (Mozambique Scouts). Also included in the activities
is an entry in the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 30-31st) using the
callsign C91WW. Outside of these two events, operators will uses their
own individual callsigns. Most of the activity will be on SSB, although
they may be able to do some CW, PSK31 and RTTY. QSL routes were not

AFRICAN TOUR. Sigi, DL7DF, will once again lead a crew of operators
for "two" (not just one) DXpeditions to Africa. The team of operators
will operate from:
Rwanda (9X) - As 9X0SP between October 26th and November 2nd
Burundi (9U) - As 9U0A between November 2-11th.
Operators mentioned are: Wolf/DL4WK, Sigi/DL7DF, Rolf/DL7VEE and
Frank/DL7UFR. Pilot station for this DXpedition is Bernd/DF3CB. Activity
will be on 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and the Digital modes. They plan
to have several stations on the air with one station exclusively dedicated
to RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV. They will use 3 transceivers (3 x K2), 2 x XV600,
1 x TY900, 2 x 18m lowband vertical, a vertical for 40m, verticals for
30m, Spiderbeam for 20/17/15/12/10m and some beverage antennas. QSL via
