サスティナブルがもはや流行語みたいに一人歩きし出しているので、Vejaとしては全てのパーツを％で表示する事で
より地球環境保護に努めているそうです。
Vejaのネーミング自身がポルトガル語で、（見る！）と云う事ですので、Vejaは常に地球環境保護のその先を見据えて
いると云う事だそうです。
それから生産者に適正賃金を支払う意味もあるそうです。
そんな彼らが発表しましたのが、VEGAN MODEL URCAになります。
動物性の物を一切使用していないスニーカーなんです。

このアッパーは何とレザーではなくオーガニックコットンにPU樹脂（コーンスターチとひまし油）をコーティング
した素材になります。
どう見ても皮革に見えるのですが。
触っても判らないくらいの出来栄えに感動させられます。
これから先、此の様な素材が皮革に取って代わり世に広まるのでしょうね。

僕が80年代後半くらいから毎月、古着のピックにLAを訪れていた際、PATAGONIAの本店を見に行こうと405から
101を乗り継ぎましてVENTURAの街に行った時、何気に入ったカフェがヴィーガンカフェでして、
テラス席に座りますと、お香の香りがプンプンそして店員さんも裸足でオーダーを取りに来てくれました。
アルファルファの入ったサンドウィッチとコーヒーを頼みましてゆっくり店内を見渡しますと、ヒッピーライクな
お客様ばかりで僕だけ浮いている感じだったのを覚えています。
後で聞いた話ですが、VENTURAはヒッピー文化が栄えた街だそうです。
其の時代、ヒッピーイコールヴィーガンって感じでしたね。
良きアメリカ良き文化が育った時代だったのでしょうね。
アメリカ文化を語る際、アイビー文化やヒッピーベトナム戦争の文化は避けて通れない道ですもんね。
其の時代毎に音楽や映画なども流れまして未だに僕などは其の文化を引きずっているのかもしれませんね。
又、話が逸れてしまいそうなので、面舵いっぱいと！
