Today, let's learn some Japanese-English vocabulary.
Japanese-English is sometimes called "Katakana-English" or "Japaglish."
When I was driving a car the other day, I came up with this idea for my blog.
So, today let's learn and practice some car-related vocabulary which is easily misused or misunderstood in Japan.
For example...
・gasoline stand = gas station
・side brake = hand brake
・dump car = dump truck
・manual car = stick shift
・back mirror = rearview mirror
・front glass = windshield
・autoby (bike) = motorcycle/motorbike
If you have a chance to drive or ride a car during this winter vacation, please check some of the vocabulary that you've learned today!

本日は“間違えやすい日本語英語 - 車に関するトリビア”についてです。

日本語英語は時に“カタカナ英語”や“ジャパグリッシュ”と呼ばれることもあります。

先日、車を運転していた時にこの“日本語英語”のトピックが頭に浮かんだので、今日は車に関する、間違えやすい日本語英語を取り上げてみたいと思います。

例えば・・・

・ガソリンスタンド ＝ gas station

・サイドブレーキ ＝ hand brake

・ダンプカー = dump truck

・マニュアルカー = stick shift

・バックミラー = rearview mirror

・フロントガラス = windshield

・オートバイ = motorcycle/motorbike

この冬期休暇の間に車に乗る機会があったら、今日学んだ知識を思い出してみましょう！

今日も朝から暑いです！！

こんな暑い日にカナダで行きたい場所はこちら！！


皆さんもご存知だと思います。かの有名な“ナイアガラの滝”です。

ナイアガラの滝に行くには、カナダ側からはトロントが玄関口になります。
トロントからナイアガラまでバスで片道約２時間ほどでしょうか。

せっかくナイアガラの滝に行ったのならば、“Maid of the mist = 霧の乙女号”と言われるフェリーに乗ることをおすすめします！！

フェリーは約２０分の航行で滝の中をぐるっと一周してきます。

風と水のしぶきがすごく、船のどこにいても濡れるのは必死です！！
（乗船時にもらうレインコートはほとんど役に立ちません・・・カメラも防水をおすすめします）


カナダ・トロントに行く予定のある人は是非、ナイアガラへ！！
ナイアガラだけの予定の人も是非、トロントへ！！

Good morning!!
It's hot today too, isn't it?
Like hot day today, the place I recommend going in Canada is here...
"Niagara Falls!!"
It's world-famous, so everyone must know the name of this place.
When going to Niagara Falls from Canada, almost all of people go from Toronto because of its proximity and convenience.
It takes approximately 2 hours one-way.
If you have a chance to visit Niagara falls, you should definitely get on the ferry called "Maid of the mist!!"
The ferry is a 20-minute ride and takes you to very close to Niagara Falls.
You should be prepared to get wet!!
