本日のブログは“新型コロナウィルスの緊急事態宣言中に使える「緊急事態宣言期間中（ロックダウン中）は何をしていますか？」に対する答えを言いたい場合の英語表現（日本語編）”です。

日本のみならずアメリカやカナダのテレビやラジオ、インターネットのニュースでも毎日取り上げられているように、最近のニュースの話題は専らコロナウィルスですが、国によっては第二波の影響が見られる等、状況が悪化しています。

現在、世界中で問題になっているコロナウィルスですが、日本においても世界でも現段階ではいつ完全に収束するかわからない状況です。

このような状況でも、海外の方（ビジネス上でお付き合いのある方、お客様、同僚、友人等）と英語でのメールやメッセージをやり取りをされる方もいらっしゃるかと思います。

この状況でスモールトークの一環として「緊急事態宣言期間中（ロックダウン中）は何をしていますか？」と尋ねる、もしくは尋ねられることがあるかと思います。

今日はこの「What do you do under this state of emergency (lockdown) situation?」という質問に対する答えとなる英語表現を学習していきたいと思います。

早速、下記の日本語を英語に変換する「英作文」に挑戦してみましょう。（なお、答えとなる一例は日本語のすぐ下にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

１．家で自粛し、外出はめったにしないです

＝ I stay at home and rarely go out.

２．気分転換のために時々、家の周辺を歩いています

本日のブログは“自分の英語に自信がない…自分の間違いに自分で気づける基礎英語力をつける第一歩！English Plusレッスン受講生用2019年12月第2週英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、２０１９年１２月第２週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、よろしければご確認ください）

1. You're good cooker.　

2. He doesn't went to Tokyo yesterday.

3. I've had my hair cut last week.

Good morning and thank you very much for taking time to read English Plus blog!
English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, let's learn and practice basic English.
There are a wide variety of lessons available at English Plus, and one of them is "Skill-Up Conversation".
This Skill-Up Conversation has 6 different levels, and students can learn and practice basic English vocabulary, grammar, expressions, and pronunciation for English communication.
The main aim of Skill-Up Conv course is that students master some basic English skills, and gain confidence to communicate in English.
In order to do so, through the lessons, students learn fundamental vocabulary, grammar points, and so on, and after that they have enough time to practice using what they learn during lessons.
It might take some time to master basic English skills; however, we try to support our students by offering lessons and self-study support.
If they take lessons regularly and do self-study in their free time, they can improve English skills a lot faster than we expect.
Through this Skill-Up Conversation course, our students learn a lot of basic English, and one of the most important tips is "to make grammatically correct sentences."
We understand that beginner English learners have difficulty making sentences because they need to think about vocabulary first.
Then, they have to make sentences.
This process sounds easy, but it's a lot more difficult than it sounds.
So, today, let's try some English training to help you make correct sentences more smoothly.
Now, let's check the 5 sentences below, and choose all the grammatically correct sentences.
1. I won't to drink beer.
2. My friends going to go to Hawaii next vacation.
3. He is going to see a movie tomorrow.
4. Will you be going to cook tonight?
5. I'm not going to joining the meeting next week.
Can you find all the correct sentences? (Just in case, the answer is below.)
If you can find the answers smoothly, good job!
If you can't, let's improve basic English skills at English Plus step by step!
After you choose the answers, please correct the sentences and read them aloud.

English Plus（英語学校）では、基礎から英語を学んでいく「Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コース」をレベル別（初級～中上級）に開講中です。

このコースでは“レッスン受講生の方々が基礎的な英語力を身につけ、自信を持ってコミュニケーションが図れる”ことを大きな目標にしています。

そのため基礎英会話レッスンの中では、英語コミュニケーションに必要な「基本的な語彙、文法、表現、発音等」を中心に学び、使う練習を繰り返すことで、基礎英語力を徐々に身につけていきます。

英語コミュニケーションに必要な様々な基本を学んでいく基礎英会話コースですが、基本的な１つに“文法的に正しい英文を作る”という事項があります。

下記の英文に目を通し、正しい文章をすべて選んでみましょう。

Today, let's learn some English vocabulary from English Plus' lessons.
During English Plus' lessons, our students have a chance to talk about a wide variety of topics.
In the lesson, they talk about a topic, and the topics change frequently and naturally.
For instance, when they talk about cooking, the topic of cooking changes to ingredients, a recipe, a favorite grocery store, some items they saw in a supermarket, and so on.
To continue conversation naturally and freely, in addition to basic English knowledge of grammar, it's necessary to know about vocabulary.
Knowledge of vocabulary often helps us to communicate.
During one of our recent English lessons, our students talked about "alcohol" since we had some opportunities to drink alcohol in our Karaoke activity.
Actually, alcohol has a lot of kinds, and today let's learn some of them.
Now, let's check the vocabulary below.
1. バーボン ＝ bourbon
2. ブランデー ＝ brandy
3. コニャック ＝ cognac
4. スコッチ ＝ Scotch whiskey
5. ウォッカ ＝ vodka
To master vocabulary, you can either of the techniques below.
・Read out loud
・Write
・Check the spelling carefully
If you want to know more about alcohol, you should google and find the information in English.
In this case, you can learn about alcohol and read English.
You might use the vocabulary above during conversation sometime in the future, so let's get prepared for such an opportunity from now.

Today, let's learn some English vocabulary from English Plus' lessons.
During English Plus' lessons, our students have a chance to talk about a wide variety of topics.
In the lesson, they talk about a topic, and the topics change frequently and naturally.
For instance, when they talk about cooking, the topic of cooking changes to ingredients, a recipe, a favorite grocery store, some items they saw in a supermarket, and so on.
To continue conversation naturally and freely, in addition to basic English knowledge of grammar, it's necessary to know about vocabulary.
Knowledge of vocabulary often helps us to communicate.
During one of our recent English lessons, our students talked about "alcohol" since this is the season to see cherry blossoms and we have some opportunities to drink alcohol while looking at cherry blossoms.
Actually, alcohol has a lot of kinds, and today let's learn English vocabulary about alcohol especially "popular cocktails in Japan."
Now, let's check the vocabulary below.
1. スクリュー・ドライバー ＝ screwdriver
2. カシスウーロン ＝ cassis and oolong tea
3. カルーアミルク ＝ kahlua and milk
4. ジンライム ＝ gin and lime
5. ジントニック ＝ gin and tonic
To master vocabulary, you can either of the techniques below.
・Read out loud
・Write
・Check the spelling carefully

Actually, alcohol has a lot of kinds, and today let's learn English vocabulary about alcohol especially "Japanese and Chinese alcohol."
Now, let's check the vocabulary below.
1. 日本酒 ＝ sake
2. 焼酎 ＝ shochu (Japanese distilled beverage)
3. 泡盛 ＝ awamori (Okinawan distilled beverage)
4. 梅酒 ＝ plum wine
5. 紹興酒 ＝ Shaoxing wine
To master vocabulary, you can either of the techniques below.
