Today, let's learn some useful expressions that can be used in business presentations.
I sometimes hear from our students that there are more foreign co-workers in their offices these days.
Our students say that most foreign workers can't speak Japanese but English.
Therefore, their communication is mostly in English.
So, today, let's learn some English expressions that can be used in business.
Today's phrases can be used when you need to talk to someone who looks busy.
For example...
・Excuse me. May I speak to you for a minute?
・Sorry to interrupt, but could I speak to you for a second?
・Sorry to bother you, but do you have a minute to talk now?
・I'm sorry, but would it be possible to have a second?
If you have a chance, please use some of them above.
To do this more naturally, you should practice English every day.

At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English a lot especially during lessons.
Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through the lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons during the first week of this October below.
1. Can I take your restroom?
2. "I can't do it." "Why?"
3. I have a lot of errand to do today.
4. My co-worker is start work at 9.
Let's improve English skills little by little!

English Plus is a small school located in Tamachi, Tokyo.
We're providing fun, student-centered, practical English lessons.


Today, let's learn and practice basic English.
There are a wide variety of lessons available at English Plus, and one of them is "Skill-Up Conversation".
This Skill-Up Conversation has 6 different levels, and students can learn and practice basic English vocabulary, grammar, expressions, and pronunciation for English communication.
The main aim of Skill-Up Conv course is that students master some basic English skills, and gain confidence to communicate in English.
In order to do so, through the lessons, students learn fundamental vocabulary, grammar points, and so on, and after that they have enough time to practice using what they learn during lessons.
It might take some time to master basic English skills; however, we try to support our students by offering lessons and self-study support.
If they take lessons regularly and do self-study in their free time, they can improve English skills a lot faster than we expect.
Through this Skill-Up Conversation course, our students learn a lot of basic English, and one of the most important tips is "to distinguish words."
We understand that beginner English learners have difficulty distinguishing vocabulary, such as, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs.
Today, let's learn some English vocabulary and distinguish.
Now, let's check the 10 words below, and choose all the words which can complete the following sentence: "Do...?"

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。


本日は“英語初級者のための１から学ぶ基礎英語トレーニング ～ Whoseの疑問文を作るトレーニング（日本語編）”です。

English Plus（英語学校）では、基礎から英語を学んでいく「Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コース」をレベル別に開講中です。

このコースでは“レッスン受講生の方々が基礎的な英語力を身につけ、自信を持ってコミュニケーションが図れる”ことを大きな目標にしています。

そのためSkill-Up Conversationレッスンの中では、英語コミュニケーションに必要な「基本的な語彙、文法、表現、発音等」を中心に学び、使う練習を繰り返すことで、基礎英語力を徐々に身につけていきます。

英語コミュニケーションに必要な様々な基本事項を学んでいくSkill-Up Conversationコースですが、英語でコミュニケーションを図る際に大事な項目の１つに“疑問文”があります。

英語には様々な疑問文がありますが、今日は疑問文の１つ「Whoseを使う疑問文」を作るトレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

Whoseを使う疑問文ですと、例えば「その鞄は誰の物ですか？」"Whose is the bag?"という疑問文が作れます。

これに対する答えの一例として"The bag is my sister's."（私の姉・妹の物です）という英文が作れます。

早速、今日は下記の答えになる"Whose"を使う疑問文を作ってみましょう。

1. These are my co-worker's documents.

2. That car is hers.

3. It is my birthday today.

Today, let's learn and practice some basic English.
There are a wide variety of lessons available at English Plus, and one of them is "Skill-Up Conversation".

When we make a question to answer the sentence above, we can make a question like "Whose is the bag?"
Now, let's read the sentences below and try to make "Whose questions" to match the questions and answers.

3. It was my co-worker's idea.

本日は“英語初級者のための１から学ぶ基礎英語トレーニング ～ Whoの疑問文を作るトレーニング（日本語編）”です。

English Plus（英語学校）では、基礎から英語を学んでいく「Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）コース」をレベル別に開講中です。

このコースでは“レッスン受講生の方々が基礎的な英語力を身につけ、自信を持ってコミュニケーションが図れる”ことを大きな目標にしています。

そのためSkill-Up Conversationレッスンの中では、英語コミュニケーションに必要な「基本的な語彙、文法、表現、発音等」を中心に学び、使う練習を繰り返すことで、基礎英語力を徐々に身につけていきます。

英語コミュニケーションに必要な様々な基本事項を学んでいくSkill-Up Conversationコースですが、英語でコミュニケーションを図る際に大事な項目の１つに“疑問文”があります。

英語には様々な疑問文がありますが、今日は疑問文の１つ「Whoを使う疑問文」を作るトレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

Whoを使う疑問文ですと、例えば「あそこにいるのは誰ですか？」"Who is there?"という疑問文が作れます。

これに対する答えの一例として"That's my father."（私の父です）という英文が作れます。

早速、今日は下記の答えになる"Who"を使う疑問文を作ってみましょう。

1. She's my sister-in-law.

2. I'd like to see my favorite actor.

3. My co-workers are going to attend the conference tomorrow.
