English PlusのTOEICテスト対策レッスンから学ぶ語彙を増やすためのヒント～接尾辞 "-ible"（英語編）

Today, let's learn some English vocabulary which might be able to help you get higher score in the TOEIC exam.
TOEIC exam is one of major English tests in Japan, and there are a lot of people who take the test every time.
Some of our students at English Plus also take the TOEIC exam regularly.
In my opinion, taking some kind of English exam is good to check our English ability objectively, so we recommend our students to try TOEIC or other English exams regularly.
TOEIC test consists of Listening part, 45 min, and Reading part, 75 min.
Therefore, we sometimes hear some of our students, who take the TOEIC test, say "I was tired after taking the test."
To be precise, they said, "I was very tired because some vocabulary was difficult, and it was tough to choose the answer."
Choosing the answer from unknown words is difficult, and in fact, in the TOEIC test there are some questions about which word fits its context.
In order to answer these questions correctly, we need to correctly distinguish "Noun, Verb, Adjective, and so on."
Every time this kind of question appears in the TOEIC test, and today let's learn some "suffix." (Suffix determines noun, verb, adjective, and so on.)
There are a lot of suffixes and today's one is "-ible."
The vocabulary with the suffix "-ible" is mostly used as "adjectives."
Now, let's think about vocabulary with "-ible."
After thinking about for 20 seconds or so, please check the answer below if necessary.

本日は“いざという時のためのビジネス英会話表現 ～ 来客の際に使える英語表現（飲み物をおすすめする時のひとこと）”です。

日常のビジネスの中で、英語を使う機会（例：挨拶、連絡、報告、会議、E-mail等）は色々とあると思います。

ビジネス英語と言っても様々なシチュエーションが考えられますが、今日は「海外からの来客」時の英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

いきなり英語となると緊張をすると思いますが、しっかりと準備をしておけば、いざという時も少しは落ち着いて対処できると思います。

今日は、いざという時のために「自分の英語力で対応するために１０秒口頭英作文トレーニング」をしていきたいと思います。

今日のお題はこちら…

「何かお飲み物はいかがでしょうか？」

様々な英語表現が可能です。

答えは下記にありますが、まずは自分で英文作りにトライしてみましょう。

なお、答えの確認後は「口に出して読む（音読）」「ノートに書く」「書いたものを見直す」等のトレーニングを定期的にして英語力定着を図りましょう。

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2017年5月第2週の英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り「自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得」を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、５月第２週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。

1. We were boring at the bar then.

2. The statue looked like very sad.

Today, let's practice English from English Plus' lessons.
At English Plus, we encourage our students to try to speak English a lot especially during lessons.
Once in a while, they make some mistakes, but they really try hard and try to express what they want to say in their own words. (Great Job!)
Through the lessons at English Plus, I realized there are some mistakes our students often make, so today let's review not to make the same mistake again.
Now, let's find errors from our lessons during the second week of this May below.

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“2017年夏から始める英会話「7月」のEnglish Plus体験レッスンのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

English Plus英語学校では７月も引き続き体験レッスンを実施中です。

English Plusの体験レッスンのユニークな点は、体験レッスン受講生の方も通常の９０分のレッスンにお入りいただける点です。

９０分レッスンにお入りいただくことで「通常のレッスン受講生同様にクラスや学校の雰囲気を体験できる」だけでなく、レッスンを通して実際に使える英語を学んで、トレーニングしていただくことが可能です。

７月７日現在、English Plusでは下記３つのレッスンを実施中です。

・Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）レッスン・・・語彙・文法・リスニング等、コミュニケーションの土台となる基礎英語力をつけていきたい方におすすめです。（全６レベル構成。中学校英語レベルからしっかりと基礎を学べるレベルのご用意もあります）

・Power-Up Conversation (応用英会話）レッスン・・・様々な会話のトピックを通して、スピーキングの流暢性・表現等をもっと高めたい方におすすめです。（ある程度、英文を自分で作ることができるレベルの方におすすめです）

・TOEIC（TOEICテスト対策）レッスン・・・TOEICテストにおけるスコアアップを目標に、仕事等でも使える英語力をつけていきたい方におすすめです。

各週のクラスの状況によりお入りいただける曜日・時間が異なりますので、詳しい曜日や時間等に関してのお問い合わせは、お電話もしくはEnglish Plusの公式ホームページよりお気軽にどうぞ。

2017年夏から始める英会話「7月」のEnglish Plus体験レッスンのお知らせ（英語編）

Good morning and thank you very much for visiting English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to introduce trial lessons at our English school.
At English Plus, we're currently accepting trial students before summer vacation.
One feature of our trial lesson is that trial students can take one of our regular 90-min lessons.
It means trial students can join a lesson with our regular students and can feel our school atmosphere directly.
Also, trial students can learn and practice English a lot through the lesson.
As of today, these trial lessons are available:
・Skill-Up Conversation lesson (We recommend this lesson for those who would like to learn from basic English and get confidence)
・Power-Up Conversation lesson (This lesson can help those who would like to improve speaking skills especially fluency)
・TOEIC lesson (We strongly recommend this lesson for those who need to improve TOEIC score and business English)

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“使える基礎英語力を身につけていく「基礎英会話コース」全６レベルにパワーアップ中（日本語編）”です。

English Plusでは「会話」や「TOEICテスト対策」等、様々なコースをご用意しております。

その中でも「英語をやるなら中学校くらいのレベルからしっかりやりたい」という方や「英語を話すのが苦手」という方のために「英語を基礎から学んで、話すトレーニングをし、英語力に自信をつけていく」“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）”のコースをご用意しております。

この“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）”のレッスンでは９０分のレッスンの中で主に、英語コミュニケーションの基礎（文法＋語彙）となる部分を学ぶと同時に、学んだポイントを駆使して「自分の言いたいことを言えるようにトレーニング（スピーキング＋リスニング）」していきます。

このコースではレッスンを通して「自分で不自由なく、自然に英語が口から出てくる「基礎英語力」を養っていくこと」を目標にしています。

また、「基礎英語力」という点では「話す」だけではなく「聞く・読む・書く」というバランスのよい英語力を養うこともポイントにしています。

レッスン後にも無理なく復習に取り組めるシステムを採用し、毎日英語学習が取り組めるようにしています。

この“Skill-Up Conversation（基礎英会話）”は現在５レベルから構成されていますが、レッスン受講生の英語力の伸び等も考慮に入れ、もう一つのレベルを作成中です。

このコースは２４レッスンで１レベル構成になっていることもあり、６ヶ月受講で１レベル修了となります。

２４のレッスン作成が終了次第、６レベルに変更予定ですが、変更は２０１７年１０月を予定しています。

Good morning and thank you for your time to visit English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to write about one of our English conversation courses.
There are some English lessons available at English Plus, and one of them is called "Skill-Up Conversation" course.
We recommend this "Skill-Up Conversation" course for those who would like to learn from junior high school level English or who think "I don't have confidence to speak English."
With "Skill-Up Conversation" lessons, the students can learn some basic English vocabulary and grammar, and then they practice listening, and speaking in 90-minute lessons.
The aim of this course is "students can make their own English sentences more naturally and freely."
Also, students can improve not only speaking skill, but also well-balanced English ability, such as listening, reading and writing skills.
After each lesson, we give some homework so they can do self-study and review the lesson.
This "Skill-Up Conversation" course is composed of 5 levels, but we're currently making another level "6" due to the demand from our students.
After we complete making another level, 6 different levels will be available in October.
