おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“<6月23日および30日限定> English Plus Cafeでのランチについてのお知らせ（日本語編）”です。

2016年始まって以来、English Plus Cafeでは、長らくランチのお休みをいただいておりました。（ランチを楽しみにしていた皆様申し訳ございませんでした）

ランチ再開日を休止後以降、スタッフとランチ再開について話し合っていましたが、今回２日間限定でランチを提供させていただくことにしました。

ランチ提供日の予定としましては６月２３日（金）および６月３０日（金）の２日間となっております。

ランチの内容は変わらない予定（スープ・ランチプレート・ドリンク・デザート）ですが、提供時間は１２時～１３時３０分となります。

数量限定なので売り切れ次第終了となりますが、ランチの時間帯のお席の予約も承っておりますので、よろしければお電話もしくはメールでご確認ください。（予約優先となります）

ランチのメニューは、English PlusのFacebook Pageと、公式ホームページ（http://e-plusweb.com）に紹介する予定ですので、よろしければご確認ください。

皆様のお越しをお待ちしております。

Good morning and thank you so much for your time to visit English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to announce lunchtime schedule at English Plus Cafe.
Since the beginning of 2016, we've stopped serving lunch for a long time at English Plus Cafe. (We're very sorry to inform this late for those who are looking forward to our lunch.)
We were thinking about when to restart our lunch again after stopping serving our lunch, and finally we've made up our mind.
This time, we're going to serve lunch only for 2 days - June 23rd (Fri) and June 30th (Fri).
The contents of our lunch is the same as before; however, lunch time is between 12:00 and 13:30.
The number of our lunch we can serve is limited, so we might finish serving lunch earlier.
Anyway, if you would like, you can reserve seats at lunch time.

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“ビジネスでも使える同僚や仲間を励ます時の英語表現（日本語編）”です。

日常生活の中やビジネスの場において、友達や同僚を励ます機会があると思います。

プレゼン発表の前やテストの前等、色々と状況が考えられますが、今日は誰かを「励ます」時の英語表現を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば…

"You can do it!"（あなたならできる！）

"Hang in there!"（あきらめるな！）

"Go for it!"（がんばれ！）

"Keep up the good work!"（その調子でがんばって！）

日常の中で、他の人を励ます機会がありましたら使ってみましょう。

必要に応じて使えるように、今から口に出すトレーニングをしておきましょう。

おはようございます。東京都港区田町の英語学校English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“English PlusのTOEICテスト対策レッスンから学ぶ語彙を増やすためのヒント～接尾辞 "-an"（日本語編）”です。

現在、TOEICテストは日本でメジャーな英語試験の１つということもあり、毎回たくさんの受験者がいます。

English Plusのレッスン受講生の中にも、定期的にTOEICテストを受験している方もいらっしゃいます。

ご自身の英語力の指標にもなりますので、English Plusでは積極的に（TOEICに限らず）英語の試験に定期的に挑戦するようにお勧めしています。

TOEICテストは２時間（リスニング４５分・リーディング７５分）通しで行うということもあり、試験終了後には「疲れた…」というレッスン受講生の声も時々お聞きします。

「疲れた…」という方に、少しお話しをお伺いしましたが「テストの中で知らない単語がたくさん出てきたので、疲れてしまった」というコメントがありました。

確かに「知らない語彙の中から答えを選ぶ」もしくは「知らない語彙を読んで理解しようとする」のは疲れることです。

実際、TOEICテストでは「品詞（名詞・動詞・形容詞等）」を選ぶ問題が毎回いくつかでてきます。

今日はこの点を鍛えるため、English PlusのTOEICテスト対策レッスンから「語彙を増やすためのヒント」として接尾辞（suffix）の学習をしていきたいと思います。（接尾辞とは単語の最後の文字列で品詞を分けています）

「接尾辞」にはたくさんの種類がありますが、今日はその内の１つ「-an」が使われている英単語を学習していきたいと思います。

「-an」は「名詞」特に「職業や人」を表すことが多い接尾辞です。

「-an」がつく語彙を少し考えてみましょう。（答えは下記にありますので、ご興味ございましたらご確認ください）

なお、English PlusではTOEICテスト対策のレッスンを現在、土曜日に開講しています。

また、レッスン中および前後では、受講生個別に語彙の増やし方等、英語の基礎となる部分を固めるレッスンの提供や学習アドバイスをしています。

English PlusのTOEICテスト対策レッスンから学ぶ語彙を増やすためのヒント～接尾辞 "-er"（英語編）

Today, let's learn some English vocabulary which might be able to help you get higher score in the TOEIC exam.
TOEIC exam is one of major English tests in Japan, and there are a lot of people who take the test every time.
Some of our students at English Plus take this test regularly.
In my opinion, taking some kind of English exam is good to check our English ability objectively, so we recommend our students to try TOEIC or other English exams regularly.
TOEIC test consists of Listening part, 45 min, and Reading part, 75 min.
Therefore, we sometimes hear some of our students, who take the TOEIC test, say "I was tired after taking the test."
To be precise, they said, "I was very tired because some vocabulary was difficult, and it was tough to choose the answer."
Choosing the answer from unknown words is difficult, and in fact, in the TOEIC test there are some questions about which word fits its context.
In order to answer these questions correctly, we need to correctly distinguish "Noun, Verb, Adjective, and so on."
Every time this question appears in the TOEIC test, today let's learn some "suffixes." (Suffix determines noun, verb, adjective, and so on.)
There are a lot of suffixes and today's one is "-er."
The vocabulary with the suffix "-er" basically has the meaning of "person's job (Noun)."
Now, let's think about vocabulary with "-er."
After thinking about for 20 seconds or so, please check the answer below if necessary.

本日は“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力をつけていこう ～ 2017年4月第2週の英語レッスンの復習（日本語編）”です。

English Plusではレッスン中は特に、受講生に間違いを恐れることなく英語を話してもらうようにサポートしています。

レッスン内では学んだ語彙・文法を使って、できる限り“自分の言葉で英文を作り、英語でコミュニケーションができる基礎英語力の習得”を目指しています。

９０分間のレッスン内では、基本的に“英語のみ”なので、時に会話のトピック（自分のことや、日常生活、社会一般の事など）が難しい話題になったりもしますが、レッスン受講生は自分の持っている英語力を駆使してがんばっています。

English Plusでは、どのような場面やトピックでも自分の英語力で乗り切れるえるように、基礎の部分となる基礎英語力（自分で英文が自由に作れる英語力）をつけるためにレッスンや自己学習をサポートしていますが、その基礎英語力の大事な中の１つに“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”があります。

今日はこの“自分の英語の間違いに気づける英語力”の復習と題し、４月第２週のレッスン受講生の英語の間違いから英語の復習・トレーニングをしていきたいと思います。

早速、下記の文の間違いに気づいてみましょう。

1. There were less people than I thought.

3. She seems enjoying reading the book.

本日は“English Plusの会話のレッスンから学ぶ「運動会」に関する英単語（日本語編）”です。

近頃English Plusの会話のレッスン内で、しばしば話題になることの１つに「運動会」があります。

運動会での競技は様々ありますが、英語で会話をしようとすると考えてしまうものもあります。

そんな今日は「運動会」に関する英単語を学んでいきたいと思います。
