この曲は機動戦士ガンダムSEED Destinyに登場する、エクステンデッド（強化人間の一種）の美少女ステラ・ルーシェのイメージソングである。劇中やアーケードゲーム内にも彼女にまつわるシーンに登場する。悲劇的な最期を遂げてしまうステラの、心を通わせた主人公シン・アスカへの思いや、さまざまな深遠な心境を垣間見せるような歌詞が印象的。
独自のステップで華麗に舞うというダンスが趣味のステラらしく、拍子は８分の６（のハズ）で、１拍目が強拍となっており、メロディラインを口ずさむのみでは一種の舞曲の様に聞こえるが、これにストリング（ヴァイオリンがメイン）によるマイナーコードの伴奏が加わった途端に劇的に泣ける曲へと一新する。
アニメソングだけに、普通にBGMとして聞いただけでは何も思わない人も多数おいでるとは思うが、歌詞の中身をしっかりと噛み締めて聴いて欲しい。
これが最も効果的に使われたアニメのシーンで涙したファンは数知れない、という。
この曲とともに死ぬことが出来たらある意味私も、「これ以上複雑で殺伐混沌とした世界で弄ばれない様に」なるのかもしれない・・・？
