　最近はあまりメモしていませんが。無論、ウクライナ危機で世界の困難が増大して、こりゃあしょうがないと渡海を試みるひとも増えよう訳である。

BBC Dozens of migrants killed as boat sinks off Syrian coast 24 Sep 2022

「At least 86 migrants have died after the boat they were travelling in sank off Syria's coast on Thursday, the country's state-run media reported.

Twenty survivors were taken to hospital, while rescuers continue to search for missing passengers.」

「Officials said Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian nationals - including women and children - were believed to be among the 120 to150 people on board.」

　シリア沖で120～150名が乗った船が沈没。20名そこらは救助できたが、86名は死亡確認。渡海を試みる者たちは、今年は70％増しだという。

「And this year crossings have risen by more than 70% compared with the same time last year, international observers said.」

　シリア発の人々はイタリアを目指したそうだが―ちょっとはいい暮らしを望むことはそれほど悪いことかという嘆きの言葉が残された家族から出てくるが―ひとによってはさらに英国まで行こうとするかもしれない。

BBC Channel migrants: More than 25,000 cross to Kent so far in 2022 28 Aug 2022

「At least 25,000 migrants have crossed the English Channel to Kent so far in 2022, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Defence.

A total of 915 people reached Kent in 19 small boats on Saturday.」

「There have been 8,747 crossings detected in August so far, with 3,733 in the past week. Monday saw 1,295, the highest daily total on record.」

　今年はもう、少なくとも2万5千人は流入したかなあ、とのこと。
