世界の1％の人口が下位50％に倍する炭素消費を…！

　世界の最も富裕な1％が、下位50％の消費する炭素の二倍をも消費している―。
　国連はそのように言うのだそうな。まあそんなもんでしょうね。

　ものっそいざっくり言って、78億人の1％、約8000万人がその生活態度を改めれば―世界の環境は大いに変わる、と。つまりそれ、グレタ・トゥンベリに賛同の声をあげたセレブ達水準のひとたち…ってくらいになりますかね。そこらで、かつてのヒッピーを思い起こさせるような姿・行動をしている人々は、まあ、さほど数に入ってないものと思われる。

　セレブ達の声に合わせて「我々こそが変わらなければ！」と叫ぶ人々は、むしろ、「おめえじゃねえ、座ってろ」の対象であるかもしれない。

　まあ、なんにせよ、いわゆる先進国居住者は、多少は控えたほうがいいでしょうが。

「"Our planet is broken," the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, has warned.

Humanity is waging what he describes as a "suicidal" war on the natural world.

"Nature always strikes back, and is doing so with gathering force and fury," he told a BBC special event on the environment.

Mr Guterres wants to put tackling climate change at the heart of the UN's global mission.」

　nature strike back!と、まあ、レイチェル・カーソンのような勢いである。
　国連としても―諸種の利害、利権や何やらを呑み込みつつも、ともあれエネルギー消費の合理化に向かわねばこれはいかんらしいという立場の様子。
