梵字（ぼんじ）とは、インドで使用されるブラーフミー系文字（英: Brahmic script）（インド系文字（英: Indian script））に対して、日本や東アジアで歴史的・伝統的に用いられてきた総称的な漢訳名である。「梵語（サンスクリット）を表記するための文字」の意だが、起源であるブラーフミー文字が「ブラフマー（梵天）の創造した文字」を意味するので、それを意訳したものとも解される。
