The top members of President Donald Trump’s Cabinet sent detailed operational plans and other likely highly classified information about US military strikes on Yemen to a group thread on a messaging app,Signal.
And Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor in chief of The Atlantic, had accidentally been added to Signal.
Signal is an encrypted messaging app that is popular around the world, including among journalists and government officials.
But current and former officials said,
the use of Signal to discuss planning for military operations is a shocking risk to national security.
Hearing this news, I can’t believe it at first.
Trump hired amateurs for top jobs. This definitely led to the most dramatic blunder.
