今回は当方のストックよりオン・メニュー！！

L'arbre du Voyageur Extra Vieux Agricole 2001 7yo 45% Chantal Comte

シャンタル・コントと言えば、かつて妖艶な香りを放つヴィンテージ・ラムがリリースされていた事を思い出しますが、同社の歴史は、そもそも８０年代末頃からのラム・コレクションに起因しており、フランスの会社らしく、コニャックやアルマニャック、はたまた香水を思わせる、エレガントな香りを放つフレンチ系ラムを専門に扱うボトラーです（ネゴシアンと言うべきかも？）。

今回ご紹介するのは同社のメイン・ストリームの１つである「ラルブル・デュ・ヴォヤージュ」

２００１年ヴィンテージの７年物。原酒はラ・ファボリット蒸留所より。

ちなみにラルブル・デュ・ヴォヤージュ（フランス語だとラヴジュ・ヴォヤジャと聞こえる）とは、日本語で「旅人の木」とも呼ばれる葉柄に水を蓄えられる木で、マルティニークではおもてなしの象徴とされているとか・・。

RESENTATION: Chantal Comte has selected this rumduring her search for rare and precious rums.L’Arbre du Voyageur, in Antillas, is a tree which holds areserve of drinking water in the chalice of its fronds. It isalso the symbol of the Martinique hospitality.

ALCOHOL: 45,5

ORIGIN: Distillerie La Favorite - Martinique

TERROIR: the plane of Lamentin. The fields of sugarcane surround the distillery, and so ensure the freshnessof the harvest.

PURITY OF THE WATER: the water comes from the BelAir Well.

COLOUR: a beautiful topaz colour with warm goldtones.

NOSE: it has aromas of «Campèche» honey withinimitable creole overtones.

PALATE: the fresh notes of ginger, vanilla, spices andflowers. We discover the notes of damp and warmtropical undergrowth: musc and amber mixed withvoluptuous notes of tuberose and citrus fruit. Anexceptional rum!

SERVING RECOMMENDATIONS: this fine rum is bestappreciated straight but can also be served as a «punchvieux», as an aperitif as well as with festive chocolate orwalnut desserts. Cigar aficionados will appreciate it witha Havana or a cigar from Ecuador.

テイスティング・ノートを真に受けるならかなり官能的な香りのイメージですね～。

ま～、ロマンティックな表現は嫌いではありませんし、もしそうなら、そう感じたいとも願う所ですが・・、

恐らく、バニラ、蜂蜜、スパイシーと言ったバランスで、フローラルさや柑橘類のものが強く感じるのであれば、現状でも面白いかと思いますが、熟成期間+瓶詰め後の期間を含めても、正直そうレンジの高いものは期待しないかな～・・。

無論、良い裏切りを予感するスペックは満たしているので、抜栓後の変化も楽しみな１本ではありますな～・・。
