ドミニカ共和国：ハイチ人妊婦・産婦等を大量送還

　一昨日「ドミニカ共和国：ハイチ人妊婦・産婦等を大量摘発」（2025-04-23）のメモをしたが、その国連ニュース側の報道。

　ここ最近、ドミニカから大量送還されているが、そのことへの懸念。vulnerableの最たる者たちであり、まずは保護の対象ではあるのだ。

「The UN has raised concern over a growing number of vulnerable Haitians – particularly pregnant women, new mothers, and infants – being deported from the Dominican Republic. 」

　こうした特定の属性のひとたちが、とある火曜日のとある国境ゲートだけで妊婦11名・授乳中の新生児をかかえた16名というのは、ちょっと多すぎやしないか―という。なお総計416名のうちの内数。

「On Tuesday alone, IOM staff at the Belladère border crossing in Haiti received 416 deportees, including 11 pregnant women and 16 women who are still breastfeeding.」

　こんな状態の人たちをハイチに送還しても、ハイチじゃ出産・新生児へのケアなんて碌々できないのに！というわけなのだ。資材も食料も水もない、というのは別にいまさら引用せんでもいいだろう。

「Humanitarians are seeking $908 million to support nearly four million people in Haiti this year. Only six per cent of the funding, $57 million, has been received to date. 」

　必要予算額に対し、受領できた金銭は6％程度。足りないのが常とはいえ、いつもより厳しい数字だろうなあとは。
