兄弟マグ MUGS FOR BROTHERS

ピアノをモチーフに、というリクエストの、お兄ちゃんと弟くんペアマグ。

ふたりともピアノを習っていて、発表会で連弾している様子の動画をお母さんが送って下さった。
かわいい！

こんなふうにご本人の写真や映像を送っていただけると、とてもありがたい～。
そこからイメージを膨らませて描いていくうちに、どんどん気持ちが入って、出来上がった時にはまるでその人のことを知っているような気分になってしまうのダ。

その都度希望を聞いて、ひとつひとつ作るのでけっこう時間はかかる。
いくつかパターンを決めてしまって注文を取り、名前の部分だけ変えるという方法もあるし、その方がずっと効率的なのはわかっているのだけど、まだまだひとつのスタイルに縛られたくなくて。。。
同じものを描き続けるのは飽きるだろうなあ、って心配もある。

当分は今のまま、その時々自分でもどんなものが出来上がるのかわからない作品を創っていきマス

These are mugs for two young brothers.
They wanted pianos on the mugs.

They are both studying piano and their mother sent me videos of their performances.
Cute!

When I make something for someone I don't know, it's good to have that person's info.

I can get an image from that, decide on a design and start painting.
I think about the customer a lot and work on things that make me feel as if I know him or her.

My merchandise is all made to order so it takes time to make them.
It's probably easier to make some samples and ask customers to choose from them.
I could just change the names to put on cups or t-shirts.
I know that is more efficient, but I don't want to settle on one style yet.
Making the same products again and again might make me bored.
(That's what I worry about)

So I'm still going to paint impulsively one by one.
