ロックダウン中にすっかり季節も変わり、初夏の陽気。

画面に５年生全員の絵を描いている。
本当は子供達自身にやらせたかったこと.


It feels like almost summer!

I'm drawing all of the 5th graders on the wall.
The kids were supposed to have fun doing it by themselves.








次男もお世話になった５年生の先生。
初の遠隔授業で、先生たちも大変そうだ。


One of the 5th grade teachers taught my younger son.
It seems very challenging for teachers to have remote classes daily.






青空の下でひとり、鳥のさえずりを聞きながら壁画に向かう時間は、とっても幸せ。
今が世界規模のパンデミックの最中だってことを、すっかり忘れられる。


I feel so good when I'm working on the mural alone, on a beautiful day with the sound of birds singing.
I completely forget that we are in the middle of world pandemic.

ゲーム三昧。
外で遊んでこーい！　と言えないのがつらいところ

My sons have been playing video games A LOT!
I don't like it but what can I do??

すっかり日常となった、ソーシャルディスタンシング。
友達と、知人と、安心してハグし合える日はいつかなあ。

Solo Painting 壁画、ひとりで、、、

週に２度ほど、校長が出勤する日に合わせて壁画をやりに来てもいいよと言われ、久しぶりにペンキ塗り！

They let me work on the school mural when the principal is there.





子供達の声の聞こえない空っぽの校庭での作業、ちょっと寂しいけど、こういう時期に楽しめることがあるのは嬉しい。

I felt little lonely woking at the empty playground without hearing the kids' voices.
But I'm grateful that I have something I can enjoy during this time.
