They are the boys of Ms.H who's a member of our PTA committee.
Her oldest son, who's a freshman, is giving her a headache.
‘He doesn't study at all!!’
His first test after entering high school wasn't good.
He said he would try harder on the next one,but he still scored badly, which made his mom more disappointed.
‘His score was the second from the last. It might be worse next time. His math & english scores were VERY bad!’
Sounds familiar!!??
I was exactly like that when I was a high school student.
You have to be very smart to understand the lessons because in high school, the level of the material become much harder.
Even though most of the students could tolerate the teachers'boring lectures and seriouslytake notes, I couldn't see the ponit in doing that.
So I did not study.
My scores were terrible.
‘I wasn't happy to see your report card. So I stopped checking them! ’
My mom was the mother of a dropout.
She struggled a lot as a parent.
At last, she made a decision.
ーLet it goー
‘Teen agers don't listen to their parents. It's OK if your kid doesn't study. There are some things more important than that!’
‘Enjoy your kid's adolescence!’
My mom said optimistically.
She's right, but it's not easy to stay calm when it comes to your kids.
You understand what you should do,but still you can't stop nagging your kids, right??
Let me go back to Ms.H's son.
He is a very charming boy.
He came to our PTA party last time and took care of all kids there.
(There are 10 kids. From 3 years old to 15.)
My sons liked him immediately and kept asking me when they could get together again.
Ms. H's son is going to be a good man.
It doesn't matter whether his grads are good or bad now.
BUT, for his mother, there are too many things about him for her to worry over.
‘I want to give up being a parent!!’
She cries.
Don't worry!!
You have a lot of company to share your feelings.
Smile!
