This and that...



思いつくまま描いていったら、、、、「何匹いるの？」と４年生の女の子。
「あら、数えてないなあ」
で、一緒に数えたら２９匹！
I just painted animals impulsively.
A 4th grade-girl asked me,
‘How many animals are there??’
‘I don't know.’
We counted together.
There are 29!


「中途半端な数じゃない？」と彼女が言うので、オレンジブタの左にありんこを描いて、ちょうど３０匹
‘Odd number.’
Said the girl.
So I added an ant next to the orange pig.
There are 30!


「これで終わるの寂しいねえ」
「もっとどこか描きたいねえ」
「学校中に描きたくなるう～～ヒヒヒ」

ノリのいい母たちと、理解ある先生方と、好奇心いっぱいの子供達との、楽しくて熱～い（暑～い）夏のひとこまでした。
どうもありがとう！！

‘We will miss doing it. won't we?’
‘I want to paint more~~!’
‘Why don't we paint the whole school!!??’

Exciting mothers, understanding teachers, curious kids...
I was happy to have a special summer event with them.
Thank you all!

通りがかりの中3ガールズ。この学校の卒業生。
「アタシたちが卒業してからこんなことやるんだあ」
「ちょっと塗ってく？？」
「いいんですかあ！？」
August 19th.
These are junior high school students who graduated from this elementary school 3 years ago.
‘Why would they want to do this after WE graduated!!?? ‘
’Do you guys want to paint?’
‘Can we??’




いろんな人が参加してくれて
Many people have participated in this event.






みんなの手で出来上がってゆきます！

通りがかりの人たちが楽しそうに見ていってくれ、知らない人も「がんばってくださいね」と声をかけてくれ、何より参加してくれている保護者や子供たちが喜んでくれて、この壁画が人と人をつなぐコミュニケーションのツールにもなるんだってこと、これを始めてからわかった。
うれしい。
People who pass by seem like they enjoy this painting, some people talk to us, above all, parents and kids are having a good time working on it.
I didn't expect that doing this would be such a communication tool among parents, kids, teachers and people in this area.
I feel very happy.

Some teachers joined us today!! The woman with the striped t-shirt is my son's teacher.

昨日。
『なんかさー、音楽欲しいよね』
『サルサとか、レゲエとかノリのいいやつ』
『テーマは南国で』

で、今日。
成人委員長のHさんがCDデッキを持参

『今度はビール持って来ようか～？？』
『学校で酒はまずいんじゃない？』


Yesterday;
‘I feel like listening to some music!’
‘Salsa, Reggae... something upbeat.’
‘Southern island taste!’

Today, the president of our PTA committee brought her CD player!

‘What about beer??’
‘Maybe it's not a good idea drinking alcohol at school... ’

I started painting on the wall of my eldest son's school entrance!

夫、子供、その友達を動員して掃除。

My husband, my son and his friend helped me clean the wall.

友人であるプロのペンキ屋さんが、無償で下塗りをしてくれる。
ありがたや～ありがたや～
August 16th.
My friend who's a professional painter painted the walls white for free.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!





今朝、ひとりもくもくと下絵を描く私。

I drew a sketch this morning by myself.
It was TOO hot!!




午後はPTAの仲間達が助っ人に！
「なんか楽しい～～～」と、はしゃぐ母たち。

疲れてヘロヘロ。

It is crazy weather!
I got so tired.
BUT it's fun!

自然の中で IN NATURE

岡山の実家に行ったり千葉外房の友人宅に行ったり、遊び三昧の夏。
自然いっぱいの中で、毎日子供も私も元気元気。

友人の所では小さい雨ガエルやカマキリに目を輝かせていた息子達。
実家でもやっぱり毎日カエルとりに熱中し、ヤモリやトカゲも追いかけ回しておりました。

空いっぱいの星、天の川までうっすら見えて心が洗われるような気分。
流れ星、３っつも見た！

「田舎ぐらしは不便。手間もかかるし覚悟もいる。でも幸せ」
と、友人。

都会の生活が楽しくて仕方がない時もあったけど、今は、自然の緑や空気に触れられることがこの上なく嬉しい。
やっぱり私も田舎モノなのだ～。



We went to my parents house in Okayama recently and also visited my friend living on the edge of Chiba.
My sons and I had very good time being in nature.

There are many attractive creatures for kids around my friend's .
Tree frogs, praying mantids...
In Okayama, they were crazy about catching frogs and also chased Lizards and geckos.

I saw many stars in Chiba that cleared my mind.
I could even see the Milky Way!
And three falling stars!

My friend said,
‘It is inconvenient living in the country. You have to work a lot around your house. But I'm happy here.’

I used to be very excited living in the big city, but now I'd rather be somewhere I can see trees and get clean air in nature.
Because I am a country girl!
