校門画にも描いたオラウータン、こっちが第１号。
高校時代の友人Yのリクエスト
コメント欄に書いたけれど、校門画はまだブルーシートの下、、、。
『PTA会費を使ったのに、何の知らせも受けてない』
『幼稚園か保育園の絵みたいで、小学校の顔である門にふさわしくない』
などと言うクレームの電話が学校に来たから。
学校側も困ったようだったが、そういう意見も尊重して、壁画お披露目は今週末のPTA運営会議以降となった。
こんな絵しか描けずスミマセン～～
クレームの件は、まあ仕方がない。
いろんな意見の人がいるものね。
ただ、この暑さの中ブルーシートの下でモヤモヤしている30匹は不憫だナァ、、、
昨日、防災訓練で各家庭保護者も学校へ。
「いつ絵が見れるの？？」と何人もの母親に声をかけられた。
息子の担任の先生が「いろいろありますけど、職員室は皆賛成です！」と、そっと耳打ちしてくださった。
製作中は差し入れもいただいた。
昨日、初めて入った近所の総菜屋のおかみさんには、
「絵を描いてた人？暑いのに大変だったねえ。でも殺風景だったのが楽しくなったねえ」と。
描いている時も、「新聞見ましたよ。がんばってね」と足をとめて声をかけてくれた近隣の人たちが何人もいて、、、。
何より仲間の母達の協力と励ましがとても嬉しくて、ただ大きなものに絵を描きたくてやっただけなのに、思ってた以上のギフトをたくさん与えてもらえて、とてもとても感謝している。
白い壁を見ては、『ここには何が描けるかなあ』と懲りずに想像している私です。

I just painted an orangutan on the school gate and this is the original.
The t-shirt is an order from my high school friend Y.
As I commented, the mural is still under a cover.
A parent made a complaint about the mural by saying;
‘We didn't know anything about it even though PTA membership fees were used to pay for it.’
‘That picture is not appropriate for the facade of an elementary school. It looks like something for a preschool. ’
Painting is no problem with the school, but they have to respect other's opinions.
So an announcement will be made after this week's PTA meeting.
I am sorry my work is so NAIVE.
And I feel sorry for the 30 animals staying under the cover in this HEAT!
It's OK to hear complaints.
There are many people having many different ideas.
All parents had to go to the school to a training class for disaster response.
I was asked by a lot of mothers when they could see the mural.
My son's teacher whispered to me;
‘There might be some controversy, but we teachers are very happy with the painting. ’
Some teachers gave us ice cream while we were working on the gate.
I went to a nearby deli yesterday for the first time.
A lady at the store started talking to me.
‘Are you the one who was painting at the school? You guys did a good job! That gate was shabby but now it's very nice!’
While we were working, many people in the area stopped and gave us positive feedback.
Above all I was happy with all the support of the other mothers.
I just wanted to do a big painting, but now I realize that I have gotten many unexpected gifts from doing that.
I'm already planning to paint different places!!!
