Hello everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. My name is Sristi Saha. I am from a city called Kolkata which is in India. Do you know where India is? Maybe you know because Indian curry is quite famous in Japan as well as all over the world. So coming back to myself I am a MEXT Scholarship Research Student right now in the Department of Vehicle Robotics which is in the Faculty of Agriculture. After completing my college back in India I applied for the MEXT Scholarship and passed the examination and came here.
After living for a month and a half in Sapporo I can say that this place is truly beautiful. I have also started loving certain Japanese food items as well. Especially I love the salmon sushi and ice cream in here. I am loving the cherry blossom of Sapporo too.
Coming to me joining the Equestrian club, I am not particularly a sports person, but somehow I love horses. I don't know if I can ever become a good rider but the time that I spend in the club with the horses and the other club members, is enough for me to relax myself and have a great time. Before joining the club I never knew that so many things are needed to be done to properly take care of a horse. But now I can understand the importance of everything that we do in the club. By the way the horse that I love the most in the club is called Kanon Code. He is the most elegant horse that I have ever seen.
"Be ambitious boys" is the main moto of Hokkaido University. So I am being ambitious and hoping to become a good rider as well as to become a good friend to the horses and the club members during my stay in Japan. With that I am ending my blog here. Thank you.
