Yvonne Rainerがこんな興味深い人とは知らなかった。
昨日半分うつらうつらしながら、かなりの資料を読んだ。
やはりMartha Grahamの学校に入り、Merce Cunninghamにも影響を受けている。中でもRobert Morrisの名前が出てきたのには驚いた。しかも（Ross on Feelings are facts: A life by Daniel Ross)の資料によると、1966年からややこしくなったRobert Morris（Simone Fortiの夫）との関係から、1971年10月15日にYvonne Rainerは自殺を試みている。これがダンスから映画への転身の重要なきっかけとなったと言ってもかまわないのではないだろうか、とDaniel Rossは書いている。Robert Morrisの名には記憶がある。重要かつ多才なArtistである。上の作品は2004年の「絵画」であると言うから、驚きだ。一人のArtistのなかには幾つもの創作生命が宿っているのだろう。
