I read the interesting article about the Yomiuri Giants this morning.
The new GIANTS stadium is scheduled to open in March 2025 in Inagi City, Tokyo.
This plan involves the construction of Japan’s first baseball stadium with an integrated aquarium.
And the establishment of food, drink, and sports-related facilities are also planned in the surrounding area.
These plans are called “TOKYO GIANTS TOWN” project.
This project has being developed by the Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo headquarters, the Yomiuri Giants, and Yomiuri Land.
The former Tamagawa Ground was a place where residents could drop by and casually talk to the future stars of the game.
“TOKYO GIANTS TOWN” aims to recreate and develop this place of interaction.
I didn't know about this project until this morning.
The success of Japanese major leaguers, including Otani, Darvish,Yoshida,Suzuki
has extremely increased the popularity of baseball in Japan over the past few years.
Therefore, this “TOKYO GIANTS TOWN “will definitely become a new popular attraction in Tokyo.
I'm not a Giants fan, but I would also visit this town once.
