[2022年以後] ぼくらの時代、ぼくらの祖国

Japan and its fans tidied dressing room and stands at Women’s World Cup.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is being cohosted by Australia and New Zealand, kicked off on Thursday.
The Japanese team, known as Nadeshiko Japan won its opening match , beating Zambia 5-0 in Hamilton, New Zealand on
Saturday.
Nadeshiko Japan is aiming to win the World Cup for the first time since German 2011, next faces Costa Rica on Today.

I was happy for Nadeshiko's win, but I found an even happier article on CNN this morning.

Footage posted by the BBC showed several Japanese fans walking around the stadium with trash bags, picking up garbage left in the stands.
“They are literally the best fans in the world,“ people said, while Fox Soccer called it “the best tradition in sports.”

Japanese fans have become known for their stadium cleaning activities at the men’s 2022 and 2018 World Cup.
Their activities were admired by people all over the world.

And furthermore, after this match against Zambia, the Japanese team cleaned their dressing room and left a message of thanks in Japanese and English.
Of course, they were greatly appreciated by FIFA.

If I had been at the stadium that day, of course I would have taken part in the activity.
While reading this article, I felt proud of us Japanese.
