on one's feet 立って、座らないで
put one's feet up 足を高くする
go on maternity leave 出産休暇、産休に入る（産休に入っている場合はbe on maternity leave）
policy 規定、政策、方針
hands down 間違いなく、断然、楽勝で
go into labor 陣痛が始まる
keys 車のキー（複数なのは、昔はドアとトランク用のカギが別だったこと等）
9月16日 Doting Grandma
doting ～ 溺愛する～
grandma おばあちゃん
have ～ wrapped around one's little finger ～を自分の言いなりにさせる
It's X's right to Y YするのはXの権利である
spoil ～ ～を甘やかす
step on ～'s toes ～の感情を害する、機嫌を損ねる（義理の母のことを婉曲に表すために～'sという部分をany toesと言っている）
sugary snack 砂糖の多く入ったスナック

frazzled くたくたで

ten agonizing days 苦悶の10日間
overstay one's welcome 長居をしすぎる
not lift a finger 一切何もしない、まるで何もしない
put one's foot down 断固として要求する、主張する
