蕪村の俳句（86）

■旧暦8月5日、日曜日、

今日は、0時に寝られたので、体が楽だった。一日、雑用に追われる。部屋のキャビネットの資料を相当数処分する。家人が疲労ぎみなので、代わって夕食を作る。またしても、茄子のタジン鍋。かなり好評。今日は、肉料理を二品作る。仕上げは、キムチ茶づけ。

朝、英文学者で詩人の水崎さんから、電話をいただく。来年3月に出る俳句のアンソロジーに参加しないか、とのお誘いを受ける。英語とドイツ語の俳句に、日本語訳を付ける。面白そうなので、お受けすることにした。

夕がらす秋のあはれを告にけり　　　年次未詳

■鴉は、人間に身近な鳥であるから、四季折々の風情を持っている。正月の一声も、台風後の一声も、深雪晴れの一声も、味わい深いと思う。秋は、夕暮れの鴉が、たしかに、郷愁を感じさせる。鴉とその鳴き声は、切り離せないものがあるが、その漆黒の姿も、なかなかいいんじゃないだろうか。虚飾をまったく排した黒。夜の普遍性を体現するかのような黒。秋の夕べの鴉を発見しているところに惹かれた。
