きのうは歌舞伎座昼の部初日に行ってまいりました。大変な暑さ、晴天の中の初日となり、めでたくお祝いしました。今月は、夜の部に「御所五郎蔵」がかかるので、両花道がしつらえてあり、壮観です。
順を追ってお話しますと、まず昼の部最初の「名月八幡祭」で、松緑が初役の縮屋新助で見事な成果をあげました。また脇を固める猿之助の三次も好調です。松緑は、まずなんといって、その純朴な青年ぶりがよく、誠実な性格をそのまま表したような瞳の輝きと居住まいのただしさが素晴らしい。深川芸者・美代吉(笑也)に寄せるプラトニックな愛情も、大変すがすがしくてみていて彼に感情移入しやすく、松緑がピュアで朴訥な新助像を作り上げるほどに、後半の悲劇がいっそう際立ちます。ことに大変すぐれていたのは、美代吉にそっと羽織をかけ、じっと見つめ、やさしく団扇で風をあおいでやるくだり。池田大伍が大正ロマンとして描いたのは、美代吉の女性像だけでなく、こうした新助のような男性像でもなかったと思われるほどです。後半、本水の豪雨の中、愛に狂って美代吉を殺傷するところも、気魄十分。父・三代目の舞台がよみがえるかのような熱演でありました。松緑、昼の部大当たり。
笑也は初日のためか、すこしセリフが入っていないように散見しましたが、がんばっていただいて、この江戸版マノン・レスコーともいうべき美代吉をうまく造形してほしいと願っています。三次の猿之助は色気もあり、いい男ぶりです。猿弥の魚惣、竹三郎の女房お竹、辰緑のおよし、殿様役の坂東亀蔵、それぞれ好演です。また、幇間の吉三郎、中間の伍助の吉五郎、蝶十郎、又之助、蔦之助、京由(彼の芸者がろうたけて美しい)が印象に残りました。
続いては、猿之助の澤瀉屋の芸である「浮世風呂」。こちらも自由自在に歌舞伎座の舞台を躍動する猿之助の政吉が見事です。なめくじの種之助も美しく、いいコンビ。「喜のし湯」という湯屋も、ちゃんと澤瀉屋の芸に敬意を表していてすばらしいですね。『金毘羅船ゝ追手に帆かけてしゅらしゅしゅしゅ』と常磐津が歌いだすと場内も一気に盛り上がります。なめくじに塩をまいて退散させてしまう猿之助に、おもわず場内から拍手が。大変ほほえましいなかに、猿之助の花の役者ぶり、みごとな身体能力をいかした踊りで、こちらも彼の近年の充実を感じさせます。
そして昼の部なんといっても第一の出来なのは、「御所桜堀川夜討 弁慶上使」です。吉右衛門の武蔵坊弁慶が、そのスケールの大きさといい、骨法の見事さといい、傑出した出来栄え。花道の出から一気に緊張感がはしります。大いがぐりの鬘に、隈取をほどこした、吉右衛門の巨躯が花道を進むと、場内から大きなどよめきが起きました。情にあふれ、知略と武勇に富む弁慶にも、唯一の泣き所が、美しい娘・しのぶ(米吉がたおやかで可憐です!)であった、という伝説を吉右衛門が見事な造形で演じています。吉右衛門のすばらしいところは随所にありますが、最初の、卿の君(米吉二役)にむかって「三忘」の心得を説く場面で、なんともいえぬ感慨と悲しみを見せる姿が秀逸です。最後の大泣きもまた豪快かつ親の情を切々と訴え、満場の紅涙を絞ります。
雀右衛門の初役のおわさも見事なできばえ。しのぶを身ごもり、「名も知らぬ稚児」との再会に思いをはせる女心を達者な仕方噺で現出しました。また、米吉のしのぶがなんといっても今回の白眉。この美しさと可憐さは播磨屋劇団にとって貴重な財産。今後彼で、「吉野川」の雛鳥も見たいし、もし可能なら「菅原」の苅屋姫、「鳴神」の雲絶間姫なども見たいです。又五郎の侍従太郎も実直な演技、また高麗蔵の女房花の井も神妙に舞台を勤めました。夜の部も来週金曜日に拝見しますが、まずは昼の部必見の「弁慶上使」であることは間違いありません。
今月は、夜の部も幸四郎、仁左衛門、松也などもそろい、大変充実の舞台となりそうです。また歌舞伎座に通う日々となりそうです。
I went in the part first day at Kabukiza noon yesterday. It was the first day in the serious heat and clear sky, and I celebrated happily. It takes "Gosho no Gorozou" for evening performance this month, so two ways to the ring are arranged and are magnificent.

The clause that it was very excellent especially hangs a Japanese half-coat on Miyokichi quietly, and which will look and fan a wind with a fan easy patiently. Ikeda-Daigo is to the extent the one drawn as Romain Taisho seems if they weren't also such ideal man like Shinsuke as well as Miyokichi's image of women. The place where I'm enthusiastic about love and kill and wound Miyokichi during the second half and a torrential downpour of this water is also vigor enough. The fatherhood and a performance of Mijiro eye were the impassioned performance as if I revive. The part jackpot of Shoroku and noon.
It was found here and there so that whether it was for the first day didn't include words a little but you exert yourself, and Emiya is hoping to want you to model Miyokichi like this Edo edition Manon Lescaut well. Ennosuke in Miyoshi is also sexy, and it's good handsomeness. Of fish Sou in saruya, Takesaburou's wife bamboo and dragon green, Kamezou Bando of the lord role gives up and he's good acting respectively. Shounosuke, ivy Shounosuke and the capital way (His geisha was graceful and good-looking.) made an impression on Kichigorou and Choujuurou of Kichisaburo of a professional male entertainer and middle Gosuke again.
The "Ukiyoburo" which continues and is a performance of Ennosuke's sawashaya. The stage where this is also Kabukiza at will, Masakichi of Ennosuke who moves in a lively way is excellent. The combination to which seed Shounosuke of a slug is preferred beautifully, too. Yuya as "of ki, with the selling point of, hot water" pays its respects to a performance of sawashaya neatly, and is also wonderful, isn't it? When "I put up a sail for kunuhira ship chaser, and, SHURASHUSHUSHU" and Tokiwazu accompaniment music begin to sing, the inside of the hall also rises quickly. I don't think for Ennosuke who scatters salt on a slug and makes them dispersed, and it's clapping from the inside of the hall. Very warmly, I act like Ennosuke's floral actor in the inside and also make them feel substantiality of his recent years here by the dance for which the excellent body ability was utilized.
And the best performance play of noon is "Gosho Zakura Horikawa youchi Benkei messenger from the shogunate to daimyo". The workmanship by which Musashibo Benkei of Kichiemon said the size of its scale and excellent of the good skeleton and excelled. Of a way to the ring, tension runs quickly. When a big body of Kichiemon who did kumadori advances 'hanamichi' towards a wig of big chestnut in case, a big clamor has occurred from the inside of the hall. It floods affection and Kichiemon is performing the legend to which the only weak point says that my good-looking daughter and Shinobu (Yonekichi was graceful and pretty!) came by excellent modeling for Benkei wealthy in foresight and prowess, too. Kichiemon's wonderful place, everywhere, I have that, but the deep emotion which can be called nothing and the form that the grief is shown are excellent by the situation which explains a rule of "sanbou" to KYOUNOKIMI(the Yonekichi two role). The last big cry is also bold and, I complain of parent affection ardently and squeeze feminine tears of the whole audience.
OWASA of Jakuemon's appearance in a new character is also the excellent workmanship. The woman's feelings which carry Shinobu and drive expectation in reunion with "the page who doesn't also know a name" were revealed by a healthy manner story. The fine example by which Shinobu of Yonekichi is this time by far the most. These beauty and prettiness are the assets valuable for Harimaya theatre group. Kariya princess of"SUGAWARA" would like also to HINADORI of "Yoshino-gawa" from him from now on and if possible, would like to see kumonotaemahime of "Narukami". Chamberlain Taro of Matagorou and steady acting and i which is Komazou's wife flower again are meek, a stage, I worked. I'd like to make it a judgement after evening performance will be also seen but it's apparent first that the part must-see at noon is "Benkei messenger from the shogunate to daimyo".
Evening performance also has complete set of Koshiro, Nizaemon and Matsuya this month, and it seems to be a very full stage. It seems to be every day when I go to Kabukiza again.
