2/24 葉山ENGAWAでランチ。懐かしい古民家がいい感じ Walked about Hayama. Had a lunch at Engawa restaurant in a traditional Japanese house
山口蓬春記念館。皇室御買上で有名作家となり、優雅な創作活動ができた幸せな画家。記念館となった住居も素晴らしい。 Painter Yamaguchi Houshun memorial house in Hayama. His early work bought by Imperial Household which made him rich and fomous.
穏やかな葉山の海岸。「えんがわ」も良かったけど、ここでトンビに気をつけながら、麗らかな陽を浴びておにぎりも良かったんじゃないかなー Peaceful beach of Hayama. I should have eaten onigiri here watching the ocean. Warm and cozy but beware of black kites. They love human food.

今年は台風で花火が中止になり、長男夫婦と花火弁当だけ。庭園の竹で作った照明を頂きました。
Fire works had been cancelled due to typhoon. We only had Fire Works Bento. They gave us bamboo lantern instead.
11月12日長男が結婚しました。新郎父のスピーチです。「この結婚式は新郎新婦が企画し親族が招かれた形です◇◇さんのような善き伴侶を得て、この様な祝いの席に参加させて頂き、本当に嬉しく思います。披露宴は友人、知人の方々オンリーでという事で、覗いてみたい気もしますが、まあ楽しくやって下さい。F様のご親族は〇〇がどの様な人間なのか関心がある事と思いますので、私が一番印象に残るお話をさせて頂きます。私は体罰というものが、叱る側の不満を満足させるためのもので、叱られる側のためでない様に思え極力行なわない様にしていました。〇〇が6歳、二男が3歳位のある時、自己主張の激しい二男が聞きわけがなく、論理的説得にも一切応じない事がありました。体罰以外の解決がなかったので、『そんなに言う事が聞けないのなら、お尻を叩く』と宣言しました。兄の〇〇はそれを聞いて、両手で私を遮り『△△のお尻叩かないでー！』と泣きながら、私と二男の間に割って入りました。私には兄弟がいなかったので、人のためにここまで必死になれる関係に驚き、羨ましく思い、ジーンと感動しました。〇〇はそういう人間です。今後ともよろしくお願いいたします。
My son got married on 12NOV at Minatomiarai. Following was my speech as a bridegroom's father. "Thank you for inviting us for such a nice wedding. The kith and kin on bride side might be wondering what kind of personality my son is. I remember what had happend when he was 6 years old. I always thought physical punishment was for punishing person and not for the one being punished. It only discharge the anger of a punisher. One day my second son had a real bad attitude and would not listen to the parents. I finally told him that I was going to spank him on the butt. On hearing what I said, my son cut in between me and the second son, pleading not to spank his brother. He was in tears. As I didn't have any brothers or sisters, I was kind of surprised for such behavier to protect somebody else. Actually I was moved. This story tells what kind of person he is. "
