3月13日から16日まで研修でアメリカにいました。ＴＶ報道では連日上のような動画が流れていました。多くのアメリカ人同僚が、家族は大丈夫か、放射線の影響は無いのかと心配してくれました。停電が予定されているようなので、キャンプ用の電池式のランタンはどこで買えるかと地元の同僚に聞くと、研修時間終了後に自分の車で連れて行ってくれました。アウトドア店の店員は、電池はその店より量販店の方が安いと店の利益より、私達の立場でアドバイスしてくれました。めったに無い災害ですが、人の優しさ、思いやりを実感できる機会かもしれません。今回の災害で無くなられた方のご冥福を祈ると共に、家族を失われた方々がお元気になられるようお祈りします。
Movie all the Americans watched
I was in the States on March 13rd thru 16th. The movie above was showing on TV everyday. My co-workers showed a great interest as to the safety of family members,radiation spreading situation and sympathy to us Japanese employees. I asked local based employee where I could buy battery-operated lanternes since blackout is planned in Kanto area. She insisted to take us to camping goods store on her own car. At the store, the sales person attending us advised that we could buy batteries a lot cheaper in Target stores. He put himself on our shoes. This was a worst disaster but opportunity to realize people's good nature and sympathy toward others as well. I pray victims soul may rest in peace and wish those who lost their family members recover from loss pain someday.
