近所のモールで妻がハロウィーン用の骸骨の人形を物色しているので、家に帰って作ってあげると約束しできたのがこれです。一番難しかったのがシンプルなシーツを被ったようなクラシックなお化けで、ちょっと目の位置、形が悪いと本当に気味の悪いものになってしまいます。20年以上前子供達が小さかった頃、同じマンションのお友達15人位と仮装して、みんなのお家を回り、「トリッカトリート！」とお菓子を頂いて回りました。小道具係の私は段ボールとグルーガンで、大魔神とかダースヴェイダー、ストームトルゥーパーを作り子供達に被せました。今でこそ盛んになりましたが、当時は人が立ち止まって見てくれるような感じでした。33年前新婚旅行でカナダへ行った時、開いているレストランが見つからず、やっと見つけたところは貸切でした。回りに店はなく困っているのを見て、パーティー中だけど良ければおいでと言われ、入ると隣にいた結構リアルなフランケンシュタインの怪物が食べ物を勧めてくれびっくり。思いがけずハロウィーンパーティーを体験しました。JFK空港でもフライトアテンダントが魔女のコスチュームで歩いていたり、当たり前の様に根付いているのにもびっくり。 My wife wanted me to make Halloween figurines. She knows I love to make things. I used to make Halloween costumes from card board and a glue gun for my kids when they were small. I made Poke-mon characters,game characters,monsters like Dai-majin,Darth Vader,a Storm Trooper and so on. Halloween is not religeous and anyone can enjoy but was not so popular in Japan 20 years ago. My wife and I were looking for place to eat in a small town in Canada 33 years ago during our honey moon trip. We finally found a restaurant but was closed for a private party. They welcomed us to join the party. That was our first halloween party. We sat next to a Frankenstein monster who urge us to eat. What a surprize! We've seen some flight attendants in monster or witch disguise on concourse in JFK airport. That was another culture shock for us. Can you imagine JAL flight attendant in Witch costume?
