なんか、Blair 氏が Quartet（EU・米・ロシア・UN） の会議に参加するとか。
しかし、首相を辞めたばかりなのに次の仕事に取り掛かるとは・・・。

某 Bush 以上にパレスチナ問題について知ってると思われる Blair 氏の態度は、ある意味たいしたものかもしれない。
Labour Friends of Israel が2006年9月26日に開いた定例会（？）で Blair 氏が行った発言には、イスラエルに対する認識がよ～く表れている。

＞There is something I think that needs to be said on behalf of Israel today and came through to me clearly in all the discussions I had with Israeli Ministers from different political parties in the Israeli Government.
＞Israel wants peace with its neighbours, Israel wants to live in harmony with those of different religions, of different faiths and different races in the region, Israeli simply wants to know that those other countries in the region respect it on its desire to live in peace and are prepared to recognise the most basic and fundamental thing which is it's right to exist.
この発言の最後で Blair 氏は、自分の事を「イスラエルの友人であることを誇りにしてる」とのたまっている。
どう考えても、Blair 氏が公平な態度でイスラエルに接するとは思えない。
こんな Blair 氏が和平を取り持ったところで、パレスチナ側にとってはろくなことにならないだろう。
ま、Quartet の話し合いではイスラエルの利益（正確には Quartet の利益）しか考えないんだろうけどさ・・・。
